2020 cant get here soon enough
IMO, the only reliable information you can glean from the passer rating stat is if you're below 65 you probably suck, if you're above 95 you are probably good and a rating between 70-90 is inconclusive.
How the :redx2: is T-hill bust thread this long. :tubes:
His body of work is way too small to judge such a thing. Especially this year with an astonishing lack of protection and injuries to Keller and Gibson while all the while watching footballs thump of of Stumps Wallace's "hands".
There are definitely times when the T-hill shows the "it" factor at the end of half and games.
His career rating is 78.2. Compare that to damn every other QB drafted in 2012.
I know... "But it's not his fault. Nothing is ever Tannehill's fault."
With Luck yes, but RG3 hasn't done anything that made me wow.
You asked for "rating" comparsions, don't change it up now that the other 2012 qbs have close to the same rating in 2nd year..
Now that RG3 lost that running ability he hasn't been the same, 9 INTs and 12 tds..About the same as Tannehill.
Its so long due people discrediting the moronic idea that he is a bust. Only those who have complete tunnel vision would consider him a bust right now. Does he have things he has to work on, of course, however he has more upside than downside right now. Also give him an extra second and every one of us knows he will completely pick apart a defense-even the haters cannot dispute this with any shred of reason

Oh no, "But it is his fault. Everything is his fault"
Hows it looking in the tunnel?
At least those guys have shown sparks of brilliance. Tannehill hasn't really done that. When Luck or RB3 has the ball, you get the sense something amazing could happen at any moment. When Tannehill has the ball, you just hope he doesn't screw it up. Seems like we drafted a "game manager" rather than a game changing QB.
We got him all this talent this year, and he has thrown only 2 more TDs than INTs. He has 0 pocket presence, and by now he should realize he doesn't have all day to throw the ball or he's going to get sacked. The only reason we won on Thursday is because of the Defense. 4 turnovers and Tanny can't do anything with them. You guys act like he's some kind of god. Overrated at minimum.
So should we hold out hope for Chad Henne, given that his career rating of nearly 75 is "inconclusive"?IMO, the only reliable information you can glean from the passer rating stat is if you're below 65 you probably suck, if you're above 95 you are probably good and a rating between 70-90 is inconclusive.
That perspective discounts the importance of quarterback play in the National Football League.Even if you aren't sold on Tannehill, he is one of the better players on this mediocre team. He is the least of our problems right now...

Dan Marino is also "inconclusive" for his career, at 86.4.
awfulwaffle I totally agree with you, but be careful what u say about a Tanny because people here still believes he is the best QB ever. I never thought he has it, and he never will. Tanny is mediocre at best, and is no bet err than Henne. But like I said, be careful.
