Targets to Receptions

Is there a way to find this stat out? I'd be curious to see our receivers numbers from past 2 years of how many times they were targeted to the number of receptions they caught. Who do you think has the best ratio on the team?

REC = receptions, TAR = targets...first two stats next to everyones name under receiving.

Devone Bess has been the best the last two years among the receivers.

If I go by that list, i'm even more convinced fasano needs more touches.

tells me we better hope charles clay continues his solid mini camp work into training camp and the regular season...and egnew needs to show up this year...we're gonna try and offset a lack at wr with clay and egnew...no doubt in my mind about that...and probably more reggie bush in the passing game

Percentage wise he was higher the year before. 39 receptions on 59 targets...66.1%, last year he had 32 receptions on 54 targets...59.3%.

By receivers I meant WRs above not all receivers.

This shows well that it is the targeting that is important. A TE/WR cannot throw to himself and chances are the more times one is thrown the ball the more times you catch it. So when you ask why did a certain player have so mnay catches, it is largely because the ball was thrown to him a certain number of times.

Fasano was targeted 113 times over the last two seasons. Marshall was was thrown to 292 times the same two seasons yet they both had the same number of touchdowns (nine).

Also in 2011, we were 6th in rushing attempts and we passed less so our receptions went down but that is no fault of our WRs/TEs etc.

Fasano had zero drops last season and I think only had one the season before.

lol It did seem that way..yet it was only that 1st game against ATL. One bad game..being the 1st game of season...stuck with him all year and still to this day.

He dropped 3 passes in 2009 and also had two fumbles which people tend to remember.

Pure myth. Always has been. He had one game vs. the Falcons 1-2 years ago where he had a couple of fumbles and from that point on haters have irrationally labeled him as having a drop issue.

yeah, but you should pay attention to his RAC also. it's more than his yardage total. How many of his catches were beyond the line of scrimmage?
