Targets to Receptions

I see how this goes ..... guys who claim he's slow won't watch the video CKParrot posted of Fasano with a couple steps on guys like Gary Guyton and Derrick Johnson who run 4.5's

LOL man some of you are stubborn .... and no I'm not saying Fasano is FASTER than those guys, so before any of you begin to waste my time trying to derail the conversation with that crap please save it.

Watching this video might make someone think Chad Henne was a good QB, lol. We know different.

Watch closer .... outrunning Gary Guyton or Kamerion Wimbley off the LOS ..... how is "cropping" affecting how that appears?

...i just meant cutting plays here and there showing fasano beating guys either off the line or down the field...instead of looking at games on the whole and his impact as a route runner/pass catcher etc...i guess cropping was a bad word choice....

do i underrate fasano i'm sure i do...he doesn't do a whole lot for me frankly as a pass receiver and he doesn't effect the way teams play us so i'm always gonna view him as pretty average...especially down the field...he does nothing for me as a seam threat

That's fine and all .... but I posted the video to illustrate that he's not this sloth of a runner that some of you make him out to be. I've never seen a guy with more unfair criticisms in my life. Drops balls, can't run, overrated pass blocker, can't do anything ..... I need to buy you guys contacts for Christmas.

and i didn't say any of those things...never said he can't do anything...except effect the way the defense plays us...which is what a real playmaker/weapon does...i did say he's not gods gift to inline blocking...he's a solid blocker but lets not act like he's a road grading te...

i know what i believe and what i have seen and what my take on fasano is and its not gonna change...

The only people that think this guy is great are dolphin fans. Nobody outside of our fanbase thinks this guy is that great. He's barely average and obviously our new coaching staff doesnt think he's such a stud either as they drafted replacements at his position when we had other glaring needs like WR and Saftey.

Philbin said he and his coaching staff haven’t gotten that far in their planning but he was impressed with what he saw of Fasano on film from last year.

“He caught the ball well and found a way to get open. I don’t know what his (40-yard dash) time is, but he found a way to find seams in the coverage and he has some instincts as a route runner.

“He has very good hands; we like the way he catches the football and finds a way to get open. (And) he can block on the line of scrimmage. He’s going to be a good player and I’m looking forward to watching his development.”

i get that you want to quote philbin on players etc and yeah i mean its part of the argument but have you ever seen a coach tell the media anything negative about a player after reviewing his tape??? i've yet to hear anything public negative about anyones game...it's coach speak

not that fasano is a bad football player...they just float rainbows and pots of gold on everyone

Give me a break! When was the last time you heard a coach say, "this guy sucks." You sound like the everyone else who defends crap players like Crowder. The coaches also talked up how important Crowder was before he got cut! And just about any other player that has been cut in the history of the NFL. So spouting back what a coach or team rep has to say is ridiculous!

Let me guess your next response to save some time with this nonsense..."that was the old coaching staff and we all know how bad they were."

Ya, in the entire history of the NFL I have NEVER seen a coach constructively criticize his players if they're showing inadequacies in certain areas. LMFAO

If Philbin didn't find genuine qualities, you would get a lot more generalized/ambiguous responses. Philbin speaks specifically to Fasano's skill sets. You know the ones you claim don't exist.

I bet most of the guys who'll snicker at Philbin's comments about Fasano, will bust in their pants over the ones he made about Tannehill. Oh the irony of selective argumentation.
