Tell me again how Tannehill is a bust.

my favorite play of the game was the reverse to thigpen :)
also tannehill rushed 1 play for 10 yards which was awesome!

If he got down in bounds wouldn't San Diego have just let the clock run to 2 mins so they have 2 timeouts left?

In the end, that play only cost the team about four seconds, but it was still an ugly play. Especially given that on just a couple of plays prior, he had shown the wisdom to get down and stay down in bounds.

For someone acting like a grammar Nazi it's pretty funny that you are flat out wrong in your correction.

rein
noun
plural noun: reins
1. a long, narrow strap attached at one end to a horse's bit, typically used in pairs to guide or check a horse while riding or driving.

noun
plural noun: reigns
1.
the period during which a sovereign rules.
"the original chapel was built in the reign of Charles I"
synonyms: rule, sovereignty, monarchy More

Unless in your infinite wisdom you thought I meant that Tannehill deserved to have a long, narrow strap attached to his horse.

SERIOUSLY?

Okay...lets flesh it out.

By your own definition, which of those is easier to "take over?"

and if that isn't enough...

"take over/up the reins"

To take control of something, especially an organization or a country (often + of ) "He took up the reins of government immediately after the coup."

See: hand over the reins, tighten the reins

Of course. But it's very, very easy to slant the stats you use in your arguments, based on the point you're attempting to make.

Do we really need to do this again?
Not really. You simply identify the stats that are related to QB play and correlated with winning, and determine how far he is from some criterion measure with regard to them, such as the league average.

Bottom line - The guy needed his D to bail him out today... he has scored > 30 points twice in 26 starts and not once this year.

You can't win if you can't score.

also the playcalling from the 6 yard line was AMAZING..........they called plays to win the game instead of just predictable run run pass 3 n out punt playcalls

i loveddddddddd it

So a good game and victory you crown him the heir to Dan Marino? Makes sense.

Tell me what Peyton Manning's first two years were like and get back to me.
In his first season, he actually performed worse than Tannehill did last year, in terms of QB rating.

In his second season, however, his QB rating rose to over 90, and he led his team to a 13-3 record.

This offense never fully got off the ground. We lost our #1 tight-end before the season started and our #2 receiver. Oh and our o-line is one of the worst in the modern era. And we have a offensive coordinator with numerous questionable to horrible plays per game, perhaps worse then previous ones (ohgod). I'm thinking most offenses in these circumstances struggle to do anything.

Again, I've seen the stats YOU feel are correlated to QB play, as well as your continued presence in Anti-Tannehill threads. Your opinion is as neutral as Jonathan Martin's mother in an evaluation of Richie Incognito's behavior.

(Okay..that may have been a bit harsh.)

My only big problem with tannehill is the fact that he just turns the ball over too much. He only has one game this year with no turnovers. For him to be top 10 or 12 he needs to cut the turnovers alot.

So a good game and victory you crown him the heir to Dan Marino? Makes sense.

Are you completely insane? This is a serious question.

On what planet does my saying "Tannehill isn't a bust" equal "Tannehill is the heir to Dan Marino?"
