Tell me where Ryan Tannehill had such a bad 1st half

just a question for everyone bitxhing and moaning about tannys first half....Brady had a worst first half against us, I guess he sucks....I mean he's only been in the league since year 2000

What does that have to do with anything?? Brady had a bad first hald, we said "Brady had an awful half" Tannehill has a bad half we say, "RT had a brutal half" so we are haters??

No one is talking about the running backs except for you. Of course our running game has issues. No one will dispute that. This thread is about Tannehill not playing a very good half of football.
I think his point is that you SHOULD be talking about the running game too if you are going to say that our TEAM had a bad first half. Personally, I don't think we did. The first half actually gave me quite a bit of confidence that we could beat the livin' sh*t out of the Jets IF we continued to play as well as we did in the first half. And we did. They couldn't stop us moving the ball and we continued to stop them. A 17 point score differential to end any NFL contest is nothing complain about.

It happens to elite ones and future elite ones:lol:

who said he wasn't allowed to have a bad half/mediocre game? the difference is that Brady has a proven track record of HOF caliber play, ryan does not(obviously). Brady is cruising to another div title and another 1st rd bye, Ryan is trying to get his team the 6th seed. NE has more of a safety net, if Ryan plays like that against NE or a better team you will lose. Lucky for you guys you played the Jets who stink right now.

tannehill is in his second year....oh and Sanchez is on the bench and will never start in this league ever again

Hate to say it but you're right. If we had played against 28 other teams we would've been talking about another loss and lamenting another season of no playoffs.

Unfortunately what is happening is that Tannehill apologists have their slant and can't have a objective conversation. Which is he didn't play well in the first half. I'll use the fade to clay as my example of a pass he HAS to make.

He progressed in the second half. Granted, there was nothing from him from what I saw (not statistically) that gave me a whole lot of confidence. for most of the second half we also won the field position battle. Made for shorter drives, and easier to score. The original OP highlighted Lamar Miller negative runs. yet he hailed to mention that the jets have the leagues BEST run defense. negative plays will happen. But it was the running game that opened things up for TH in the second half.

As I watched Wilson from Seattle last night and how beautifully placed his balls were, his pocket presence, his confidence and leadership. When you see a young talent like that, you realize just how far Tannehill has to go before getting all googly over his play.

He's middle of the pack, and improving.

read my above post....it says my point was even elite qbs who been in the league 10+ years have bad halfs and bad games. tannehills in his second year, I expect ups and downs because I knew and understood he was raw when we drafted him.

Tannehill admitted his miss the throw to Clay. The throw to Hartline was off but I'm not going to assume every other QB in the league makes that throw. Sturgis missed a makeable kick that should've given Miami a better cushion.

Wilson's on an overall better team...watch marshawn lynch run...who on our team breaks a tackle? ever?

Not that i care about the Jets or Sanchez, but he DID take them to the playoffs. As much as he sucks now, I would hold off until Tannehill does the same.

Bull****. Wilson made PLAYS.

through 2 years mark had 4 playoff wins, let's see Ryan do that.

He'll get another shot somewhere.

dude just give it up...Sanchez sucks...and that defense carried that team don't act like Sanchez put the offense on his back. Tomlinson played a major factor.

I'm not saying Wilson doesn't make play, all I'm saying is he has a lot more aspects of the team helping him out than Tanny does. that's the truth..

Whats worse than Mark Sanchez,is a Mark Sanchez with a year off.

so let me get this straight...tannehill misses deep passes which are low percentage plays but the running backs are blameless when they can't gain 5 yards on 3 straight plays....that logic is brilliant

it is on topic because people mentioned tannehill was to blame for only scoring 6 points....

You're not understanding what people are saying. Everyone knows we have a very subpar running game, with very subpar running backs. You're saying that we as fans need to set our expectations on tannehill as low as we set for our running backs, and I disagree with you. Tannehill has shown some flashes and has a lot of people excited about his future. The one thing that he's been struggling with is his deep ball accuracy. And the more he struggles the more fans and analysts are going to point out the wide open receivers down field that he's missing. He left 2 or 3 TDs on the field, I don't think he had a bad game at all, but it'd be really nice to see him have a game like that with 4or5 TD passes on the stat line as well.

um, the D is carrying Ryan this year in case you haven't noticed, your last 3 wins and 5 of your 6 have been from the D playing really well.

LT had a great first month in 2010 and was awful the rest of the year.

LT games 1-5: 76-435, 5.7 YPC, 3 TDs
LT games 6-15(sat out game 16): 143-479, 3.3 YPC, 3 TDs

by the way, Mark put his team on his back in numerous wins that year- at Miami, at den, at Cle, at Det, vs. Hou,...

so your expectations for a 2nd year qb who only played a full year of qb in college with a crappy online and no running game are extremely high? if you ask me under the circumstances I think he's done pretty damn well. I see improvement and yea there's things he needs work on but he has improved other things I believe he will eventually get it.
