Teyo Johnson released!

I don't think we need Teyo. Our TE's are fine. It's not like the Raiders were that flooded with talent at the position either. He's got to be a huge liability blocking or prone to mental mistakes or something.

better than Holmes or Diamond? Yes, and Nick has said that he's always looking out for players that can improve the team

Just read on ESPN that former 2nd round TE Teyo Johnson was released. He might be someone to pick up, he's a better player then Holmes is.

i got four words...we've got randy mcmichael

I've got six words for you.... he's a free agent next season...

Why can't we have McMike and Teyo? Doesn't seem that unrealistic, and supports Linhan's 2 tight end system alot better. Throw in Diamond, and we have a sick TE corps...

I'm all for picking up Johnson to see what he has to offer.

because Norv decided to keep 8 WRs for some reason

Norv also kept 7 cornerbacks.

Some of them have to be working at safety though.

The Raiders should be allowed to keep a 60 man roster considering half the team will be in state prision by their bye week.

Norv has no control over the roster. The 75 year old idiot running the organization into the ground calls all the shots. The Raiders kept 8 WRs because 4 of them are either currently injured or coming back from major injuries. They kept 7 CBs because Al Davis thinks he's discovered a new defense that doesn't need LBs (we currently have a grand total of 2 on our roster... the other ones are really defensive lineman or career special teamers).

But back to Teyo... He's actually a pretty good player. He's a tweener TE/WR, not physical enough to be a starting TE and not fast enough to be a starting WR. I think the thing that pissed the coaching staff off the most about him is that he never really put in the effort on special teams (again because he's not a very physical player)... I thought he outplayed the starting TE this summer, but I guess it didn't matter.

all that being said how about saban finding a center

Vince carter and ben claxton are/were out available.

Teyo Johnson has always been a big disapointment with the Raiders. He was cut because he isnt that good.
