Thank God The Ireland Bashing Will Stop For 7 Days..

Last 4 First Round Picks.

Countless of late round picks that are balling more than their counterparts that were drafted in the same around across the entire league. Cap space for years. Franchise QB. 9th youngest team in the league. We have all our drafts picks for the next couple of years. Brandon Marshall has never won a playoff game, and Vontae Davis got rosted all day today, While Nolan Carroll, Grimes, and Patterson have led this defense to a #2 in the league ranking. YEAH HE SUCKS..

FACTS:

### From the 2012 draft: Rishard Matthews, selected 227th, was great value in the seventh round and has become a solid slot receiver since Brandon Gibson’s injury. Nobody selected that low in 2012 has been as good, and only one other NFL receiver (Vincent Brown) has as many catches (30) without a drop.

Matthews has caught 68 percent of balls thrown to him, which ranks 22nd among 112 receivers. “I’ve proven I can be trusted,” he said.

Olivier Vernon at No. 72 and Lamar Miller at 97 were also good value, though we’re focusing here on picks in the bottom half of the draft.

### From 2011: No player chosen in the sixth or seventh round that year has been as productive as Charles Clay, selected 174th. Clay (53 catches, 581 yards) ranks sixth among tight ends in receptions, has more catches than Anthony Fasano in any of his five seasons in Miami and might break Randy McMichael’s single-season record for receiving yards by a Dolphins tight end (791 on 2004).

“He’s making some clutch catches that he didn’t make all the time last year,” offensive coordinator Mike Sherman said.

Seventh-round cornerback Jimmy Wilson, picked 235th in 2011, has improved significantly; quarterbacks have a 67.9 rating in his coverage area, which is 19th-best in the league and down from 99.6 in 2012.

### From 2010: Reshad Jones (drafted at 163) and to a lesser extent, Nolan Carroll (145) rank arguably among the top 5 to 10 players picked in rounds five through seven that year. (Pittsburgh’s Antonio Brown is clearly the best.)

Jones’ play has declined somewhat from a year ago, but Carroll is much-improved; he’s allowing a 66.1 passer rating in his coverage area. That ranks 15th-best among 112 qualifying cornerbacks.

### From 2009: None of the 130-plus players picked in the fourth round or lower are clearly better than Brian Hartline (chosen 108th), and he might be the best. Also, Chris Clemons (165) ranks among the top five to 10 players plucked in the fifth round or lower that year, along with the Dolphins’ Gibson (drafted 194th by Philadelphia).

After Miami picked Clemons, Dallas then chose Clemson’s other safety, Michael Hamlin, who is out of the league. Pro Football Focus ranks Clemons 13th among 84 safeties; he has allowed only six completions.

So he gets bash for his 2nd and 3rd round misses, but no credit for all his other hits, LIKE CHARLES CLAY, JIMMY WILSON, NOLAN CARROLL AND ETC. #****THEHATERS..

You seem to be missing 2 of Ireland's first round picks with that list. Cant imagine why. Also, there seemed to be a few rounds missing in your giant text of homer-porn you threw up. Namely the second and third rounds. Totally baffling why those werent included.

:sidelol: @ the Nolan Carroll love. Also lol'ing at holding it against Marshall for not winning a playoff game...while vehemently defending Ireland. :sidelol:

Right like Parcells was just pissing in the wind for those first 3 years.. WTFE. Keep watching this team he put together continue to grow and get better, and eventually, you people will have to find something else to keep bitching about, because the GM won't be one of them..

And yet, there you are, giving him credit for any player that has even sort of worked out prior to Parcells leaving. Make up your mind.

Aww, you think the win changes anything. Too cute. I guess that means you are for firing him whenever we lose?

Congrats to Philbin! Great job keeping us in the playoff hunt despite a soft defense, off-the-field shenanigans, and horrible depth. Good thing we didn't go with Ireland's choice, who is doing much worse, amirite?

Horrible Depth?

At the most important position which is QB, we have what most consider the best backup QB in the league.

At WR, We had Gibson go out in comes Matthews.

Keller went down, in come Clay.

Miller went down In come Thomas..

Wake went down, in come Vernon, Shelby and Dion

O-Line missing three starters. In come. Garner.

Patterson is out, In come Carroll.

Solia went down today, in come Odrick..

What other display of depth did we have to show beside what I just mentioned??

Who else got hurt and their replacement felt flat on their faces?

Not even Sam Brenner!!

You ****ing haters I swear..

Brian hartline, Charles clay, mike pouncy, Vernon, jones, Clemons, tannehill, Nolan carrol, odrick, jimmy Wilson, rishard Mathews, Kia misi, Lamar miller, Daniel Thomas...all Ireland draft picks making significant positive contributions; when's the last time the dolphins had that many honegrown talents contributing?? Early 00s? Maybe not even.

That's not to mention the key fa signings like Starks, wake, grimes, ellerbe, patterson

No gm is perfect but Ireland is above average

Stop kicking a gift horse in the mouth dolfans!

You, and the OP should date.

Meanwhile, at the exact same time that CrazyDolfan is desperately trying to convince everyone that continuous mediocrity over a period of time comparable Presidential terms is the key to success(or whatever the **** the point of his argument is? I guess hes ultimately arguing that being a single win over .500 automatically equals greatness), the Colts just locked up a playoff berth and the Cardinals just kicked the crap out of the Rams to stay in playoff contention. Sounds about right.

Anyone else love the standards our "true fans" have set for success? Those of us who want to compete for Superbowls are the ones that hate this franchise, while those who celebrate 8 or 9 loses and want that to continue are the ones who fiercely love this team.

I will give him credit for resigning Moore. Didn't see that coming. Thought for sure somebody in need of a transitional starter/great backup would sign him.

Matthews has had one good game and two halfway decent games. Hardly close to Gibson, or anybody.

Clay was always in the game plan and would have benefited greatly from Keller on the field at the same time. He'd be putting up even better numbers if Egnew was worth a ****.

I know Thomas is an instant HOFer in your eyes after this game, but let's settle down. It's the first time he's had a run longer than 16 yards this season and I believe his first run over 30 his whole career. And it's not like he was backing up another HOFer. He

DL is the only unit he's built any depth on. I'll give him that. Well, at least with Soliai in the game. When he's out, the difference is staggering. If you think Odrick is anything more than a quick fix at that position, you are out of your mind.

O-Line... GTFO. Dude had to reactively (per usual) sign McKinnie because of the fiasco involving two of his players (and the third is possibly going to face something far worse) and Brenner had to be pulled from the practice squad. But I do have to give credit for showing that I was right: You only need decent cornfed that can work together (unlike the three turds that are out). Garner? Again, confusing. Is he responsible for Parcells era moves now, or only the ones you like? Make up your mind.

Carroll. Like Thomas, he's been playing better recently. Gonna take more to wipe off the stink of previous years of garbage play (and half of this season).

Now, back to your meltdown.

Don't forget Dallas Thomas. Dude is a beast. The same Dallas Thomas who couldn't start over a practice squad player.

Patience is in order here people. You don't sign as many FA as we did and expect the team to excel in year one. That's unrealistic. Give it at least another year before you say Ireland should be fired. And and I know he's been here for 5 years or so but he wasn't in charge all those years and he was picking players for Tony Sporano's ground and pound game

Have you guys noticed how so many young players have made significant progress this year? Showing the talent they have due to great coaching...ie clay, carrol, Thomas, Clemons, Mathews, Vernon...

It just shows that this organization is going in the right direction and the haters are retards

What exactly does that mean? Oh I get it you CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH SO YOU HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO SAY...Funny when the shoe flip and you basher's can't denied the truth for a week hunh. Let it be the other way around, and you taking applications on who the next magician of a GM should be..

No, whats too cute is the insistance that ireland is the problem to any problem we have.

I understand Ireland criticism - he's far from perfect. Having said that, you've been around long enough to know that one game - even a Super Bowl win- wouldn't silence the Ireland haters.[/QUOT
Amazing how all the people on Ireland's payroll always find ways to defend him. Or maybe you are a relative.

Get over yourself, dude. We are currently just one game over .500, and still out of the playoff bubble. How about holding off on starting gloating threads until they actually get in, and maybe win a playoff game for the first time in like 500 years?
