As crazy as that sounds, I'm saying it again....THANK GOODNESS WE MISSED THE PLAYOFFSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those 2 losses at the end of the season don't seem so bad now does it?! Just imagine how much longer we'd have to deal with JI and his mediocrity.

And to the poster who put Ireland's head on Vince Mcmahon's body, you were right 'cause Ireland's "GOT NO CHANCE IN HELLLLLLL!!"" LOL

This thread is why I can't stand Dolphins fans anymore.

Yep! Completely worth it!!!

The team is like a child, sometimes they need a good spank...but you do it because you love them. SMACK!!!

I'm not a fan of losing for a draft pick but suck for luck has proven me wrong on that front. This is totally different though. In retrospect, those two losses stung a helluva lot. But the OP was stating that it could have led to more YEARS of teetering on the edge of being good (aka mediocre) if we had made the playoffs. The good news today never would have happened had it not been for those two horrible losses.

You're welcome. :)

8-8 or 9-7, our OL was terrible either way. Jeff Ireland is terrible at picking offensive linemen.

The Buffalo game more than anything was a blessing in disguise.

How can anyone bash the OP? It is fact that if we go 9-7, Ireland is a Fin next year. Yes, I am glad we lost too....time to fill up the stadium.

Please give me a reason to fly down from Atlanta 2 or 3 times a year - without my wife. She's a Pats fan and I haven't been able to justify going to a live game in ages because she knows the team sucks, even when it made the playoffs that year.

I want to come down to Miami, visit my childhood friends in north Dade, party on South Beach, wake-up, then head to the stadium and hang out with my fellow Fin Fans as we all wait till kick-off starts. I want to enter a packed stadium to watch a 6-2 team that averages 28 points a game kick some a$$. Then I will fly back to Atlanta, and have a great week at work.

If it finally turns this franchise around, then the OP is 100% right.

Agree. Said it after the jets game. If we clean house, it was the best thing that could of happened to this franchise.

It ALWAYS sucks to miss the playoffs! But on the other hand it has worked out that Ireland and Sherman are now gone. They are both terrible.

I wanted to make the playoffs but this eases the pain of not making the playoffs.

I was crucified for stating that I wanted them to lose the last two games when there was rumblings that his job was safe. So long, mediocrity!

There is a difference between wanting your team to lose and then actually losing.
