The only thing I ever asked for or wanted was promises made, to be promises kept.

No more, no less.

Army brat?

Good to see that the bunks, sheets, and barracks didn't change much in 15 years.

Man those were WWII bunks too! lol

My Brother is coming home from Afghanistan in a couple of weeks and he and his wife are stationed at Ft. Bragg.

Give him a great big bear hug bro!

No. I grew up in Beaufort, NC. My best bud's dad was in
7th Group at the time, so we often went to visit (divorced)
him in Fayettenam.

I drove and was a gunner on M1A1 tanks for the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment & 1st Infantry Division.

What a coincidence...I was a gunner on a M60A1 tank... 2nd Armored Cav... Amberg Germany 1975....

Thats me behind the case of C-Rats....looks like I'm about to enter 6th grade...

Here's to the real hero's of the world. Movie stars, rock stars, sports stars, they are entertaining and go to pass the time watching, but when speaking of a true hero, give me someone that is doing a very mentally/physically dangerous job, for very little pay, in the toughest parts of the world, and complain far less then those Movie/Rock/Sports stars about their job.

Agreed, Thank you to all vets. You guys are the heart and soul of this country. You rise up when most men back down. You put football and sports "heroes" in perspective. You fight with your brothers and you make us all better for it. Your courage is always unwavering and we will always have your back.

Awesome, brother. I was in 90-94, so they had moved on to MREs, no c-rations anymore, thankfully. lol. Although, I missed out on having REFORGER Ops. That must have been cool.

Thanks guys. Please thank us by being involved in keeping this great Nation of ours, Free.

Ft. Bragg circa 1984

The old BDU's, I think '84 was the first year they were issued. Thank goodness we didn't have to wear the old "pickle" suits. I was at
Ft. Mclellan over in Ala. for basic in '84.

Man that is exactly why this picture was taken! New BDU's .... no patches on them yet except for the name tag and the U.S. Army. I went in, in '82. I wore pickle suits, jungle ERDL's and tigerstripes.
