I cant wait to tune in :D , you see this isnt new for the sox, every year before 03' they'd get off to a great start and fall apart after the all-star game. Anyways they still have a slim chance at the post season, Chicago could lose 8 of their next 10, thats just baseball.

A Patriot and Yankee fan... Satan, is that you?

Really? I've been listening to it all day.. don't know exactly what you're talking about.

Sox fans have taken this pretty well.. I haven't talked to (or heard on WEEI) one that is completely torn apart over this.

Can't compete every year when you're trying to infuse young talent into the roster. We'll be better off because of it, but thanks for your concern.

What happened to the Twins being the only team that scares you in the AL in the playoffs? Hey man, how did Cory Lidle do today?

With a healthy Liriano (which happened to be when I made this statement) I said that the Twins were the only team the Red Sox could not beat in a 5 game series. I stand by it..

And Cory Lidle sucks man... I didn't see the game, I had to work.. but I didn't need to see the game to tell you that he sucks.

he pitched 6 scoreless innings and gave up only 3 hits(all singles)...he may suck, but what does that say about the Red Sox line-up then?

and for the love of all that is holy, don't blame Francona, Finkle.

Exactly, you can't blame Francona for working with what he's got, you got to blame Theo for not sensing that this was going to happen because just about everyone else saw this coming.

Can't blame Francona for working with what he's got. You gotta blame Theo for striking out looking at the Trade Deadline and then trying to fill the holes with average players who pass through waivers. Looks like your G.M. can't fill in the holes with average players like our G.M. did last year!

ITS 6 innings! :sidelol:

Hell, I could find 6 innings this year where Jason Johnson and Sidney Ponson were good, too! You prepared to call them good?

What an asinine statement.

Your in denial LMAO. Every Red Sox fan felt deep in their hearts that this team doesn't have it this year but because they were so close to the Yankees entering the weekend that they wouldn't throw the towel in. Explain these numbers to me Red Sox fans.
11-1 against the Orioles
16-2 against the Interleague
42-52 against the Rest of the AL

Numbers don't lie when your this far into the season. Imagine if you guys didn't beat up on the NL East that has only one team over .500 or the Orioles who lay down for the Red Sox!

By the way every call on the station has been negative, especially since last night, but I guess you have selective ears or your just going with the excuse that you guys are "built for the future" to avoid the fact that you guys suck in 2006!

I've been listening since Thursday night, you have no idea what you're talking about. No surprises there though.

Excuse? It's true.. you wanna deny the fact that this team injected huge amounts of youth this year?

Ignorance is bliss..

I cant believe half of the Sox fans are ready to quit :nono:

Come on all you need is a good run

We haven't played well since the All-Star break.. and our pitching is too young, or just flat out ineffective.

It's probably over.

I didn't say he was good numbnuts, I just said he doesn't suck. He's a decent #4 or 5 for a pitching rotation...hell, he'd be the Red Sox #2 right now:sidelol:

Also, Lidle gave the Yankees their best starting performance of the series.

So I ask again...if he sucks, what does that say about the Red Sox lineup, which could only manage 3 singles?

numbnuts.. from a 23 year old, still a grammar school vocabulary I see.

He sucks, and it says the Red Sox had a poor performance. It's not the first time they've made a piece of garbage look good, and most certainly not the last.

Wasnt it also over when you were down 3 games to 0 in the ALCS  only 4.5 back of the wildcard and still 3 games left vs The Yankees

You cant just throw in the towel yet, its never over untill its officially over

We don't have Pedro, or the offense we had in 2004.
