marlins will control the sox

I guess we'll have to wait and see in a few days.

Not for nothing but it would be nice to see the Marlins get to .500 before the trash talking started. But hey I guess Marlin fans are just excited about their team and who could blame them.

116 pitches for Lester. Huge K to end the treat especially against Wright. Lester didn't pitch badly but walked a lot of players. But hey I'm happy with that outing.

Marlins wont own the sox, but it will be a really good series I hope, I could see either team winning 2 of 3 If I had to bet Id say it was Boston...but you never know

You might get to see Anibal Sanchez on Saturday, and Hanley facing his former team, should be fun

I think my Marlins have a great chance because we wont be seeing Schilling or Beckett

I still think the Marlins are 2 or 3 years away from being a good team. The run they're on now is great for the city and ball club but the fans have to be come back down to earth a bit.

When the team comes back down to earth so will we, but at this point we still have a shot, and maybe its our only chance to get excited this year and thats what were doing, you really cant blame us

That Alex Gonzalez home run was just for Rocky Raccoon.

I hope you enjoyed it brother!

Resign him now.

I love Gonzalez, he's such a stud defensively and him doing anything at the plate is gravy.

So how bad did Soler SUCK? Danny Almonte had more pop on his pitches than that kid.

Man, did he look terrible. But hey, good news for us...

I don't blame the fans. I'm happy for the Marlins (they're my 2nd favorite team) and the fans but the fans have to be a bit realistic about the team.

We needed his bat in Florida though, we didnt have the offensive weapons around like you guys do where anything extra he did was gravy.....perfect fit for your team, but if you need an extra hitter he isnt the guy (even though he has shown at times he is capable of being an above average hitter)

Why is Timlin in the game in a 5 run lead? Its moves like this that make me hate Francoma for his dumb managing skills. But I guess I should be happy he didn't bring in Papelbon in the 8th.

Nice reaction for Pedro in between innings. Good to see the Sox fans show him a lot of class. Man I miss #45 at Fenway.

If you hadn't won it all in '04 I think the reaction might be different but I think the group of guys on that team will be forever cherished in Boston.

The Sox are taking full advantage of the weak NL teams while the Yanks are floundering. This is a horrible stretch for us as the gap continues to widen in the standings.

I'm not sure about that. The Sox fans have always loved Pedro and he was truly special here in Boston. When Clemens came back to Fenway when he was on the Jays he always got cheered even though he never won anything.

Yes the Sox are taking advantage of the weak NL teams, like that should. I wish we played the NL teams for the rest of the year. However as good as the Sox have been playing (10 straight), the Yanks are still only 3.5 games out which is a little annoying.

 I really can't complain about him, he's doing his job at the plate now as well as his superb defense. But once he starts to go 1-17 again...watch out
