The 2006 Boston Red Sox Thread

16 starts, 20 HR. That's pretty poor. In the last 2 seasons he's given up 30 HR in 55 starts... The AL is just that much better.

I think its a mix of that and that Beckett needs to locate his off speed pitches more. I only remember about 3 or 4 of his HRs given up coming on a curveball or change up.

The games he sucked in were because he couldn't throw his off speed pitches for strikes and teams were waiting on his fastball.

Well let's see if the Sox can at least win the next 2 games and split the series. The Sox have a tough weekend ahead vs. the ChiSox so hopefully they can end the 1st half going 4 and 1.

This is just a pathetic showing tonight. I know Tampa Bay has a very good young line up and I understand that however the Sox are playing very flat and just look like they're not trying or caring. Outside of Scott Kazmir, Tampa Bay doesn't really have good pitching yet they're dominating the Sox. The Sox tonight aren't taking their pitches and swinging at bad pitches and at balls when they're up in the count. Just pathetic.
