I'm not sure if it aired yet or is airing tonight but with anyone with NESN might want to check out the program about Bill Lee. It should be a very interesting and funny program.

Made it upto the RI, Boston area last week for a wedding.. Watched some NESN while I was there and realized how much I miss, the specials and programs like this. They really do a good job on those and its all Sox all the time.

I hate to say it but I wish NESN was like YES (Yankee station). YES is a great station for a baseball fan, they replay old games, have special programs on former players, put on talk radio in the afternoons, it's pretty much all baseball all the time (except for Net games in the off season). No station is like YES and it's a shame.

Sox are expected to called up Kyle Synder to pitch on Monday vs. KC.

Also Wily Mo should be called up today.

The entire AL West isn't very good, we need to take advantage of Oakland while Rich Harden is hurt. Blanton and Haren haven't been as good as last year, I would like 3 of 4 over the weekend.

Some notes: Lefty Craig Breslow (Triple A All-Star this year and CT boy) has been called up to take Johnson's place.

Lenny DiNardo was moved to the 60 day DL to make room for Breslow, who was pitching very well this year in Triple A. I'm happy with the move as it gives the Sox another lefty in the pen and Breslow is also young (25 years old).

Wily Mo will probably be in Triple A during the weekend to get extra at bats.

A's rotation vs. the Sox: Loizia tonight, Haren on Friday, Zito on Saturday and Blanton on Sunday

Good pitching match ups and should be a fun weekend of baseball.

Man, Loretta's E is the 1st big one that I can remember has really hurt us..

Yanks are signing Ponson.. This is great news, the 1st real sign of desperation.. Would the Yanks from 2-3 even give Ponson a sniff, heck no..

Loretta's E sucked the life out of both the team and the fans. But that wasn't the worst play of the night that belongs to Willie Harris, what the hell was he looking at? You CAN'T get picked off in that situation. I hope Willie enjoyed his stay in Boston but he can't leave town sooner in my opinion. Bring back the other Wily (Mo).

Tough loss tonight as it seemed like the Sox and Lester were rolling to another W. They left a ton of men on base tonight especially after the big 3rd inning.

Yes also throws on the occasional hockey game (usually Devils or Rags but occassionally Isles).

Its a shame a team like the Bo Sox with a storied history filled with great players doesnt have something similar.

I completely agree. They could have bios on Ted Williams, Pesky, Yaz but instead they show Hunting shows with Millar and Timlin or ESPN News. It's crap. They should copy exactly what YES does. Have Red Sox shows on certain players, show classic games more, put WEEI on TV. The ratings they could get on doing that would be through the roof.

What? NESN is the home of the Bruins.

Boy, we got beat down tonight. Just one of those nights when nothing went our way. The absurd amount of runners being left on base in the first 2 games of this series is somewhat concerning, but the offense is just too good to not break out of this mini funk.

Good thing we got Schilling tomorrow. He's been incredible at Fenway all year, but then again, Beckett was too before tonight.

I love Beckett. He has a great right, a ton of talent, big gamer and potential and is only 26 years old. However it's called PITCHING not THROWING. He needs to learn how to change speeds and locations more. Right now all he's doing is throwing the fastball at 95 MPH trying to blow hitters away, he needs to throw the curve and change up more and also change speeds with his fastball.

A split is the best we can hope for now with Schilling and Wake going. Although I would have liked to take 3 out of 4. We have KC right after Oakland so hopefully we could win the next 5 in a row to erase the past 3 poor games.
