This all depends on if he's healthy and if we get him.

So many players on our team will be excited as hell to play with him (you'd have to think they would restructure deals to make room...kinda like with what the Jets did).

It would make us a Free Agent hot spot and plenty of them would work out their contracts for the best. Our FO would immediately get to work cutting players who aren't performing.

Am I being too hopeful? :ponder:

he's done man....and even if he's not totaly done the big risk is always there.....then you're starting with a new coaching staff and new offence after he's been doing the same thing for years.....by the time everyone is on the same page he could be hurt again or done playing....lets do it right this time. Lets get our own QB

Ozzy rules!!

Whos that? Matt Flynn Pennington?

The money it will take to sign him will eat up what's available and they still have several holes to plug.

Agreed, there are many holes still to fill. The QB situation is not as dire as everyone believes. Moore did a good job in relief of Henne. Plus Henne wants to come back and would be very good in a backup role. If they sign a QB in FA I feel it will be Flynn before Manning.

Dolphins signing Manning would be equal to Jets getting Farve. He would play 1 or 2 years and then the team would still need to find a qb.

It would be worse b/c he'd probably want a multi year deal. At least w/ Favre the Jets were only on the hook for a year and as bad as that move turned out to be we woulnd't have Rex or Sanchez if we didn't foolishly sign Favre.

Moreover, Manning will be 36 this season. Seriously, even if he's healthy, how many years has he got left? Two-three years? Meanwhile, his salary would eat up a big chunk of cap space so that the your team couldn't fill other positions easily.

A team like the Ravens or the Niners might be able to justify paying a healthy Peyton, but a team like Miami is going to spin its wheels and accomplish not a lot. He'll be good enough to win maybe a couple of more games and maybe even get the team into the playoffs as a WC, but he's never going to lead Miami, the Jests, or the Bills to the Super Bowl in the short window he has left in his career. None of those teams is just a QB away, and all of them have multiple serious holes.

It's like mass hysteria named "Peyton Fever" has gripped the fans of all of the AFCE teams except NE.

Sanchez would be no great loss.

If we get Peyton Manning, we won't need an offensive coordinator...

I'm only half kidding.

don't put the Jets down w/ the phins and Bills. The Jets are well ahead of those 2 teams, don't be fooled by one down season at 8-8- a record a Bills fan would kill for.

:lol2: I think your fooling yourself. Is that why Miami continues to beat your team more then lose to them. If Miami gets a QB (A position the Jets still really don't have), Miami will be far ahead of the Jets.

Don't be fooled next season when you have a weak o-line and are suddenly fist pumping for field goals.
