The Best Alternative NFL Helmet Designs On The Web

I seriously wonder this all the time. I know it is a large business but what do some of the people do? Especially now(covid)?
Well, I have the answer. Mr. Garfinkel stated that the 2013 Logo was develop by a series of designs from many artist. I was one of them who came up with designs back in 2013 in a contest but mine were not chosen. I am a Graphics Designer. According to the Front Office they do not have designers per say in the building everything is done outside the building by others. Did you know that it took 16 designers to make our new logo. That's right 16! It was approved by Dan Marino/Jason Taylor/ many others and the owner too. It took a lot of convincing because of what was presented. When they made the change it was different. I think I still have some stuff here of way back in the archives that I sent in '13. Now, for 2023 they want modern/old school combined. So for next 3 years artist will start sending in there concepts. Then, when one is chosen for the final it will take the designers originals and then voted upon to create.

We should have polls here to vote on your concepts and how the general fan base feels about them and then barrage the dolphins front office at large via social media to get one of yours selected. No doubt it will be fitting.

Great news and I like both of your mocks. Excited for mix of old and new school. If I recall, you’ve had that first logo floating around for quite a few years and I think I like that best of the two. Hope you get it man.

I saw these a few months ago. They're not bad but I agree, nothing beats the throwbacks. Pasquale's are great too though.

I came with this new concept using our current colors.

Here is my other one too. This I sent to Tom Garfinkel and it is on his desk.

Sweet changes coming in 2023. Stay tuned

Great job! Obviously I’m a fan of the first one.

The problem with combining old school/new school is that the new school elements tend to age very quickly. New school, by its very nature, is constantly evolving. What was cutting edge five years ago is considered boring and stodgy by today's standards. These designs are too "video game-y" to my old eyes. The classic Dolphins look is classic for a reason: it's stood the test of time (besides being evocative of a winning past). Its design was simple without needing a gimmick like a two-tone faded background or only showing part of the dolphin or an action pose that has nothing to do with the team. As Pasquale knows all too well, there's a reason why Helvetica is still such a popular font: because it works. (I'm also a graphic designer, since 1987)

Thanks. You are exactly correct. Me since 1995.

You came up with that first one? I had seen that floated around back before they went with the current logo and it was my favorite of the ones I had seen.

Back in 2013. The artist who came up with it was Jason C. (I cannot produce his full name due infringement) it was given to me to manipulate back in 2013. I made so many versions of it. But, this last one I re-created with our current color scheme which rocks on our THROWBACK uniform scheme.

Awesome insight. If I was to read correctly, Miami will have another logo in 2023?
