The best bright spot of last nights game.

lorenzo and jamar martin were the most impressive. we expected big things from the other players on the team. all we have heard all training camp is how our defensive line is always in the backfield-what happened to them last night?- or is it just that mckinney and whitley suck so bad that they look good in practice?

Actually I was just thinking about it, I think the most impressive thing I took away from last night's game was the fact that our offensive coaching staff actually adjusted after the 1st qtr to the Bears blitzing schemes. After the Wanny era I almost forgot that you're allowed to do that

the WR as a whole looked good.

Gus seemed to be cool as the other side of the pillow when running the game plan. That more than anything seemed to be the difference in him and AJ.

While we had a lot of penalties, we had far fewer than Chicago (who seemed to get called for a penalty on every offensive possesion).

Walters hurt his shoulder but that was the only (major) injury we had. Saban in his press conference thought didn't seem like it would keep him out for longer than a week though..everone else was nicked but that's it....very good on the whole.
