has to be the Orton deal falling through. He looks horrible and would be even worse on our team. Imagine how cheap we could get him now if we wanted him. Denver really got screwed by having their bluff called. Tebow looks like the guy in college today and may be their starter for the rest of the season.

lol... it's tough to keep up w/ the latest trends in here. It was a disaster not trading for him a couple of weeks ago and now it would have been a disaster executing a trade for him. I agree though, I'm glad we didn't pull the trigger. Thanks Ireland and Ross.

Ross isn't so dumb after all, eh?

This.

He vetoed the trade cause the morons in FO wanted to give him 3 years for $27 million...

LOL.

Some on this site still want him for some reason...must love his garbage time stats.

Honestly the best things he'd done so far, is what he hasn't done. Holding off on signing Soliai to an extension looks like a great move so far, and not going after Orton seems even better.

Who wanted Orton? Ireland, Daboll, or Sparaono?

Ros deserves an attaboy but somebody else deserves an a$$kicking for suggesting it the first place.

Could not agree more..... I was one who wanted Orton felt he is better than henne.

Ross and Ireland know exactly what they're doing: Sucking for Luck. Since day one, its been obvious, they've been trying to flunk the season so they could get Luck.

Imagine, whats better? 12 more years of sucking, or one year of sucking and the next 12 years of being Top Tier. Heck, I'd do it.

Agreed. Over the summer I had stated that I didn't think Orton could beat out Henne. I actually think Henne is better.
On the same topic, there were some on this site who wanted Kolb. So far he looks no better than Henne either, probably worse. The Eagles had some nerve trying to pawn him off for a 1st rd pick (not sure of the compensation Arizona gave up).
The Cardinals scare me too, because they could also be in the running for Luck.

I feel for Orton. He is in a no win situation.

I never understood why some people on this site were salivating over Orton. He has never proven anything and has been in the league long enough to show what he's got. Plus, he wanted wayy too much money for being mediocre.

True his offensive weapons are quite offensive and his team has a bad defense.

You have the crowd booing every time he messed up. It zaps the attitude of the team.

Orton should have not required a contract extension and he'd been a hero in Miami.

Oh well...I could give a **** at this point.

Matt Moore will be a disaster and it will mid November and we will see Sage driving the offense.

I think people just wanted something else....we all know what Henne brings to the table and it sucks.

who knows maybe he will be our vet next year as a free agent . Orton is solid to me but Denver is a mess and so injury plagued.
