The biggest thing this team has lacked

I think that there is the lack of a killer instinct. The team is capable of good plays, practically every week, but when things are going well we seem to ease off and let them back in the game. On Monday we got off to a slow start but then added something like 19 unanswered points to take the lead. And instead of stomping on their throats, we let them in and lose the game. If that was Brady and New England, after taking the lead he would control the game. We have talent but no killer instinct. It is interesting to note that Tannehill also lost a lot of games at Texas A & M. I like him, he's a competitor but I am yet to see a ruthless side to him.

This team have been hit with a really bad case of Murphy's law for some time now.

Let's be honest - our roster is no better than any other middle of the pack team. And hasn't been since 1994. We have our share of good players - as do the Bills, Browns, Titans, etc. It's lack of talented play makers - we just don't have enough of them. We get Mike Wallace but let Reggie go. We've had that "all we need is one play maker" mentality for way too long.

If this is true, then why did Miami draft him with a #8 pick? It seems to me that he should've been a mid-draft "project". I've seen some of the other young QBs play, and a lot of them have no problem throwing a deep pass and hitting a receiver in stride. I realize that having a poor o-line doesn't help him, but IMO it looks like he's only good at short to medium range passes.
