The Debate is FINALLY settled...The Fiedler haters.....WIN!!!

Out of all those wins how many did you put on Jay's back.

Out of all those losses how many did you put on Jay's back.

That is the difference.

This anything short of Marino stuff is crap.
It's not crap and you know it. It's just the way that the fans here in Miami work. It's sad but true. Marino was loved whether he won or lost. Huard, Fiedler, Lucas and Griese were only loved when and if they won. There will NEVER be another QB appreciated here like Marino until a generation comes along that never saw him play. The ONLY thing that can break the cycle will be a Dolphin superbowl victory. That's it.

Here is the bottom line with Jay Fiedler. All anyone has ever done for this bum is make excuses. After his first season, his poor play was the receivers' fault. So, Miami changes their receiving corps from top to bottom. Ooops. After his second season, his poor play was blamed on Lamar Smith and the running game. So, Miami trades a bounty for Ricky Williams, passing up an opportunity to eventually draft Patrick Ramsey. This was going to improve Jay's game. Ooops!! Now, it is the fault of the back up QB and the receivers again. So, Miami brings in Brian Griese and addresses the receiver position again. Ooops!!! His poor play was then the fault of the offensive line. Now, that has been completely changed. Pretty soon, you will realize that you can only change things around Jay Fiedler so much till you realize that Jay Fiedler is the problem.

I'm guessing that Dave's "sleeping on it" so he can think up some new excuses.

thats the best post ive ever read on this site .. because of how true it is..

I've hated Fiedler the past 4 years. Finaly he is benched. We are now a abetter team.
I've hated Fiedler when he took over for Brunell in the playoff game Jacksonville won 60 something to 7...Su(ky Dumbo looking Moron...Wanny is just as dumb as this a$$wipe and I hope the two of them get a one way ticket out of Miami real soon....

Heh, I think someone is having Brian Griese flashbacks. You might want to see a few more games before making that claim, don't you think?

I don't know if AJ is the answer, but we might as well give him a try. Fiedler is what he was at Jacksonville...a good backup. I kinda feel bad for him because you can tell he gives it his all when he is out there. Overall, I think AJ looked alright in his first chance to QB this team, even with the pick. I'll tell you this much...we need better run blocking. Hopefully it will come in time. One last thing....Did we even take one shot down field? :shakeno: I mean along the sideline?? I woulda like to see at least one deep throw......

Is there any doubt? Any? Any? I dare a Fiedler hugger to come in here and defend this piece of crap.
As far as I'm concerned it was already clear before the game. Jay was his normal mediocre self, he has no business being considered a starter in this league.

AJ Feeley made one bad throw, and that is debatable concerning the route Gordon ran.

AJ simply must stay in the lineup and mature, I think he has the goods to get it done in this league. If not we need to find out this year.

yes he made...but

Oh, I forgot, did anyone see Feeley throw an interception for a touchdown?
Yes he made, but he deserve a chance, I respect Jay, I always do, I never gone a insulte him (like person), Jay had made a lot of Interception like today, in the red zone, I have hope with AJ, and I don´t know if he will make the same mistakes Jay made..... but Fidler all ready had his chance (4 years), lets guve AJ the chance to start, to pratcice with th 1° unit, for the year , and the you could make say Who is better.......

Talk about opinions and your right to it and then say dost waste your and my time with a response? Stop trying to squash others right to their opinions please, we dont have to agree with you and you are not automatically right because you say you are.

Now On to my post. I believe Jay has receiveed undue criticism over his 4 years, many will tell you I have debated on Jays behalf for 4 years, I argued for him hard. The point is this, every year there is an excuse, the defense broke down, teh o-line suked, this person was hurt, etc.. Were they valid points? Yeah. But at what point does the excuses stop? Brady has not had injuries? their defense hasnt let them down? they did in 2002. Pats o-line is a makeshift unit. What about other qbs? They have 0 adversity to overcome? There comes a time when a change is called for, that time is now.

I thought our interior line did a good job today in the run blocking department. Miami popped some good runs today that started out between the tackles. Jeno James, Seth McKinney, and Taylor Whitley did a good job of Kevin Carter and Albert Haynesworth for the most part.

This team absolutely has to get better at picking up blitzes though. When Tennessee got pressure, they were blizing and running stunts that the linemen simply were not picking up. The fact that this has been a problem for over a year now suggests to me that whatever the coaching staff is trying to teach them in practice isn't working. This isn't just on the line either. The backs have to do a better job of chipping and helping the linemen out on these blitzes.

I could careless who start at QB.I'm dissapointed at both QB.

Wow. Wannstedt saying he has to look at the film. Well, he'll have too much in-house opposition on this one I think, if he still wants Jay.

Really looking forward to seeing AJ takin' the snaps from now on. I'll always respect Fiedler for what he tried to do for the team and his guts and gamesmanship, but I'll never say he was an NFL Starter. Nothing against the guy, he just don't have the tools...heart can only overcome so much.

**Crossing Fingers**

Section, I actually agree with you on this. It is well known that I have been anti-Fiedler for two years now. I am the one who actually coined the phrase Fiedler Huggers.

Any loyalty to that guy now is a blatant demonstration of stubborn stupidity...or his family posts here on Finheaven.

Did your "contact" give you the idea to post this?

I will defend Jay.

What he has done for this team the last 4 years has been excellent. Problem? He followed up a hall of famer. Simple as that. You Jay haters have bashed him year in and out. Griese could not unseed him, and that hurt your feelings, neither could the great Ray Lucas. I hope you get everything you want out of Feeley, and quote me on this all year long "The next Brian Griese".

You don't know what you got til its gone.

Take that to your contact. Hero.
You are so pathetic! and such a sore loser. all we wanted is something different and what's best for the team. Fiedler is no longer that person. take your sour grapes elsewhere. Feeley is obviously so much better for this team, he moves the ball downfield. Maybe he's not good enough to take us all the way, but everyone has to admit he gives us a better shot.

I think Feeley's a lot more comfortable with the offense than Brian was. Griese came in and didn't really get a lot of snaps with the offense but A.J. did. So maybe he'll make it as starter if Wanny'll give him a chance (I half expect him to have Fiedler take all the practice snaps with the 1st unit again despite the benching, since Wanny loves Jay) . My suggestion: send Jay to Tampa Bay for Griese and some 2005 picks, the good part of the deal, since Gruden is also rumored to have affections for Jay and will have a space for a 3rd string backup.

i dont hate Feidler its just we have to move on with Feeley if we feel he can improve the team. i wud take him as 2nd string if Sage doesnt come on this season or next.
