The Dion Jordan Selection May Have Sealed Ireland's Fate

I'm all for a IQ test requirment to vote for President.

Never thought I would see the day I would suggest the same to post on the internet.

This guy has second coming of JT written all over him. You will see an impact this year, even if he only gets limited playing time

Jprdan hasnt played a down...give him time. And the little time h has played he did it welll

Matty I @TheMattyI
Some "scoopage" by @ArmandoSalguero, stating he's hearing buzz from the team that "[Dion] Jordan's first camp has been a disappointment."

Not really 100% accurate, what Armando wrote and "Matty I" wrote are different in tone. What "Matty I" left out is that the camp is being considered a disappointment because he has been hurt and may not contribute a whole lot at the start of the season. Though Armando points out that could change if Jordan starts practicing again this week, as the team is expecting. "Matty I" is trying to make it sound like the the entire camp was a disappointment, but it has nothing to do with Jordan's on field performance, it has to do with him missing time due to injury.

Week 3 of the pre season is enough time to evaluate the draft? Clearly no agenda with the OP.

where do you guys get this stuff from. "May Have Sealed His Fate" give me a break, that was a good pick and just because keller goes downI guess that he should've gotten a TE, suppose if Wake had that injury instead of keller?

One thing that gets overlooked is how and why they selected Jordon. Ross says he asked all of the coaches if they could have ANYONE in the draft, who would it be. He said the consensus among the coaches was Dion Jordan, and he instructed Ireland to try an get him. So....there was clearly a lot of input about Dion Jordon from all camps in the FO. If Jordan succeeds or fails, it likely wont be credited to Ireland internally. Only the fans on the outside will look at Ireland at the guy who decided on Jordan.

I can see the OP's point to some degree. Our first two picks have been injured all camp. However they both should eventually get on the field. Realistically it will be year two before either player begins being a big factor on the field. I don't agree Ireland will lose his job over this though.

so far dion jordan hasnt done ANYTHING. so everyone flaming the guy who started the thread are clueless. when exactly was he a sack machine in college? oh yeah he didnt rush the passer often. but according to all you experts hes gonna be a monster pass rusher. there was a report from the miami herald that some in the organization are dissappointed with his training camp and doubt he can have an impact early on.... thats just splendid coming from the 3rd overall pick....who was injured when he was drafted!
