The Dolphins are the ugly fat girl. Who will come down here?

Im happy Mcadoo was hired. No more Packers connection wherein Philbin may feel the need to flick the nose or not even attempt rectification rather than beat with a stick if the job is not getting done.

The lame duck coach negative philosophy does not register with me. I'm Kubiak. I more than want the Miami job. If I hold my own while Philbin is in the hot seat, Im next in line.

I married the fat girl. She was/is loyal. For those of you who do not live in Miami from my generation, a good woman around here is damn near impossible to find. I know. My friends and i passed many a sl@t around between us ( It aint no fun if the homies cant get none -Snoop). It was amazing how nonchalant they were from one party to the next. No reason to complain when its fun but some of those guys invested feelings, time, and money to some of those girls when the partying died down because the trophy woman is a temptation difficult to resist. Result? Three close friends; one with a bitter divorce in constant custody legal wars from each side for the kids, one arrested twice for battery (she goes out comes home drunk he drinks at the house they both go UFC on each other), one cheats and gets cheated on and they break and they return and the duplicity never goes away.

In this fit obsessed whirlwind that has hit, my once fat girl is now the hot girl. Cross Fit. It works. My situation is a perfect example of, a fat girl can lose wait. Ugly has no solution. This team is far from ugly.

Didn't want either guy so I'm happy they signed elsewhere. I would much rather have Kubiak

If anything we're the picky girl. You're a bad coach (Shananan)? No thanks. Have never called plays before (McAdoo)? No thanks. We're waiting for the perfect ten (Kubiak, Linehan) to go to bed with. I'm fine with that.

Only way this gets ugly is if we miss out on those two and we have to settle for the last guy at the party when the lights come on.

We haven't shown a history of being the picky girl lately so who knows. Its not like teams were knocking down philbins door.

If you think you'll never do better than your first relationship why bother dating at all? After all, the next girl could be the one you marry.

Im just saying its not likely we are the picky ones. we have two awkward positions that we are offering. A Gm that may not have any say in firing a coach and an OC job that might be a one year rental.

At least concering the offensive coordinator I disagree, it is not an awkward position. Every coach who is at least half-decent a) embraces challenges and b) thinks of himself as the greatest coach of all time. Therefore, the OC that we'll hire will have a mindest of a winner because he believes that he will field the best offense in the league (and I might add that I would expect no less than that). And if the offense is the best in the league how is that job a one year rental job? On the other hand, if the coach does not believe his offense can be successful I wouldn't want him to become our new OC.

Plus, the Giants are in the same situation: if the season is not going to be a successful one, their head coach will be fired. How is that more attractive to the Dolphins job? All things considered it isn't. Maybe McAdoo thought that Coughlin's departure from the Giants would be more likely than Philbin's from Miami and he figured chances would be pretty good he could become their next head coach. Maybe that's why he decided to become OC of the Giants.

If nothing else, you can look at this situation from both sides and I chose the "optimistic" one because I still have hope we end up with Gary Kubiak or Scott Linehan as our 2014 offensive coordinator.

All the people on this thread dumping on the OP are going to be the first ones to complain wen we miss out of everyone that'd make sense and like always have to settle for what's left. People can spin it anyway they want but regarless of what happens, Ross made the same mistake all over again. He can't get it thru his thick head that you just need to clean house. You don't fired the HC and keep te GM and then fired the GM and keep the HC. Nobody's sure of what's going on in Maimi and all these guys want to go work at a place that seems to have it together. We might get 'lucky" and have everything work out for us but that doesn't change the fact that Ross has now made the same mistake twice. While every other team is getting ready for the senior bowl, the person in charge of drafting doesn't even work fr us at the moment. While we all know our offense nees to be fix, we don't even have an OC in place so we don't even know what kind of offense we'll be running but we're going to the senior bowl to scout players not knowing who's going to be in charge. Sorry but I can't blame the OP and for those complaing about the thread.........40 YEARS ago was the last time we won a super bowl. Cut the guy some slack instead of cutting the team some slack.

Ozzy rules!!

Thanks, at least someone gets the point. Although Huizenga had the same losing results, atleast we were spoiled on gettin the top available talent (jimmy, saban, parcells). We went from a team that can get anyone they wanted to, to a team that seems nobody wants to get near. It definitely all falls on Ross keeping Philbin and having Aponte a part of the mix.
