I predicted that Kay Jay would make the team based on his running style exclusively - he is a practice squad player - others on this board had him cut and gone. My point is not that I am a great psychic it is just that I have kept my pulse on the Dolphins for 35 of the 40 years that I have been here on this earth. Saban is presenting a package in which he does not emphasize the winning and losing as much as he pushes players and coaches to focus on the fundamentals. In the meantime he is a psychologist - that is he understands that we are all psychological beings and to maximize the results of how these players perform he attempts to access them on a psychological level. He is pushing them to figure out how to fight through the pain and dissapointment and achieve and then accomplish.
This game will be absolutely hard hitting and smash mouth. Jason Taylor will be all over the place - a much more athletic and nimble AJ Duhe. Then Saban will put Crowder Seau and Thomas in the mix to create maximimum mayhem for the Broncos. We will give up some plays but expect to meet the Broncos 2nd string QB.
This defense is going to hurt some people - and Jake the snake is gonna find himself at the bottom of dogpile this Sunday.
Expect BIG things from Boston. The Dolphins ran him almost exclusively in shorter passing plays - quick outs and the like. Boston is gonna go deep and create havok for opponents. Welker will be big on the O as well he and Booker are gonna be set up to run after the catch with the use of quick slants- but mostly expect to see a very heavy dose of Ronnie and Sammy Morris - with this kid from San Diego getting a few change up carries.
The Broncos are about to get on the learning curve. Their flight back to Denver, if all goes right, ought to look like a MASH unit.
More to the point is Dolphin fans are about to get on the learning curve. Forget what you saw in preseason this past month - it means less than zero. Saban was not gonna show one card. Also remember his complaint is about the last 25 players on the roster not about our starters. Early in the year we are healthy and we about to make the Broncos unhealthy! Gad I love that!

while i do like Miami at +5.5, i just don't see a victory happening against this Top 5 defense... save for one drive, our offense just didnt look crisp right now, and it will take a few weeks... you can say the preseason means "less than zero," but 19 pre-snap penalties is really troubling...
i love our defense, and we could hold them down and maybe get a break with special teams or something, and win 13-10...
but i just see our offense in big trouble Sunday... i hope i'm wrong and will be pleasantly surprised...
i will say this.. i'd rather overachieve than the countless underachieving teams of 10+ years ago...

But anybody who saw Chad Johnson go up against Champ knows that Chris can still affect the game.
