The Dolphins will be 1-0.

We need to get a lot of pressure on Jake the Mistake Plummer.....he usually makes a few crappy interceptions :drinkers:

To date I have called it almost to a tee with Saban. Just a couple of small examples are - I called Ricky returning, in good grace (for the $) and playing well. I predicted that Kay Jay would make the team based on his running style exclusively - he is a practice squad player - others on this board had him cut and gone. My point is not that I am a great psychic it is just that I have kept my pulse on the Dolphins for 35 of the 40 years that I have been here on this earth. Saban is presenting a package in which he does not emphasize the winning and losing as much as he pushes players and coaches to focus on the fundamentals. In the meantime he is a psychologist - that is he understands that we are all psychological beings and to maximize the results of how these players perform he attempts to access them on a psychological level. He is pushing them to figure out how to fight through the pain and dissapointment and achieve and then accomplish.

This game will be absolutely hard hitting and smash mouth. Jason Taylor will be all over the place - a much more athletic and nimble AJ Duhe. Then Saban will put Crowder Seau and Thomas in the mix to create maximimum mayhem for the Broncos. We will give up some plays but expect to meet the Broncos 2nd string QB.

This defense is going to hurt some people - and Jake the snake is gonna find himself at the bottom of dogpile this Sunday.

Expect BIG things from Boston. The Dolphins ran him almost exclusively in shorter passing plays - quick outs and the like. Boston is gonna go deep and create havok for opponents. Welker will be big on the O as well he and Booker are gonna be set up to run after the catch with the use of quick slants- but mostly expect to see a very heavy dose of Ronnie and Sammy Morris - with this kid from San Diego getting a few change up carries.

The Broncos are about to get on the learning curve. Their flight back to Denver, if all goes right, ought to look like a MASH unit.

More to the point is Dolphin fans are about to get on the learning curve. Forget what you saw in preseason this past month - it means less than zero. Saban was not gonna show one card. Also remember his complaint is about the last 25 players on the roster not about our starters. Early in the year we are healthy and we about to make the Broncos unhealthy! Gad I love that!

I hope you're right. I have a good feeling about Frerotte now that he's not competing for a job any more. It really all comes down to the QB and O-Line as far our success offensively. If those two areas don't perform, it won't matter how good our Defense is if they spend all day on the field.

The O might not struggle too badly. I think they can run against the recycled Browns line. That could set up some play action and I think our WR's have enough talent to give Denver some problems.

My thoughts exactly

We must shut down their running game to win...And a +2 turnover ratio wouldn't hurt.

It's gonna be a very tough and sloppy game. We should win. Plummer will have a lot of preasure during the game from our D-line. The thing that scares me is the bronco's running game, very unpredictable. Gus's cold mind and leadership will be a huge factor to. Dolphins 16, Broncos 13

It's either going to be a deja vu of last year or our offense is going to get opened up and kick some serious booty. I'm an optimist so I think it will be the latter.

now that is magnetic optimism...

while i do like Miami at +5.5, i just don't see a victory happening against this Top 5 defense... save for one drive, our offense just didnt look crisp right now, and it will take a few weeks... you can say the preseason means "less than zero," but 19 pre-snap penalties is really troubling...

i love our defense, and we could hold them down and maybe get a break with special teams or something, and win 13-10...

but i just see our offense in big trouble Sunday... i hope i'm wrong and will be pleasantly surprised...

i will say this.. i'd rather overachieve than the countless underachieving teams of 10+ years ago...

Gotta agree with you there. We've shown very little meshing this preseason. It looks to me like we still need a few weeks to get ready for the season. I think the one thing that may play into our hands a little is that its almost impossible to game plan for us. What tape you gonna watch, VIKINGS, LSU, our preseason? Maybe we get lucky but more than likely we get a reality wakeup

i'd love to see it happen, but i think you guys are being overly optimistic. our offense is too weak to do anything against their defense, especially our pass offense being so weak... champ bailey won't help that. we might be able to run a bit, but I don't see us completing 18 passes. Defense will play well as expected, but in the heat, we'll tire out after their class A o line works us all game. in the 4th quarter they'll take over.

23-13 Denver.

I think we'll be working with a -1 or -2 turnover ratio all season long. We're not creating them on D yet, and we're turning it over on O with fumbles.

We can withstand the -1 or -2 turnovers. If we stop the run of the Broncos, however, and score on some long pass plays, I believe we'll win.

Give Jake happy feet with pressure from our Dline and blitz scheme and he will definatley make some stupid throws or cough it up. Our D can stop the run if they either/or 1. Have the Miami heat on the side. 2. Or they keep in the game mentally. DO NOT let them get methodical. If we do both of those things, we have a sure shot at an easy first win unless Gus plays HORRIBLE (5 ints+), and I doubt he will. I still hope whoever wins the game is close and hard nosed.

I think the assumption that most people are making is that Champ Bailey will take Chris Chambers out of the game.

But anybody who saw Chad Johnson go up against Champ knows that Chris can still affect the game.

Yeah, I agree, and even if Chambers was having trouble, Boston or Booker could give the other dbs problems. The other cb whoever he is, is definitley beatable.

Bailey is one of the most overrated players in football. He got roasted a ton of times last year. We should exploit this matchup a bunch of times.

Who is gonna get the ball to these receievers?

I think the X-Factor in this game is the weather. It's the middle of September, and the airs alot thicker in Miami than in Denver. Before the last couple of seasons, Miami was dominant at home early in the season. Mainly because of the weather.

:yeahthat:

Anyone who lives down here will agree thats it been freaking HOT this year...not just "oh yeah, beach time" hot ...but holy crap I just took a sweat shower going from the parking lot to my office hot.

We need every advantage we can get as it's not like the Pats feel sorry for anyone playing in the blizzard games up there.

So I say have fun using those cooling fan/machines Bronco players, you'll need them for sure!
