The Drake Dillemma

Gore has 506 yards and one touchdown on his touches.

Drake has 572 yards and five touchdowns on his touches.

Doesn’t matter to Adam Gase.

They are splitting the work load, which is what was said would be done...Gase is you know doing things to get Drake in space where his speed and quickness are an advantage and helps prevent the negative plays....what part of that dont you or any one else pissing and moaning about this understand?

OK, Coach. Thanks for clearing that up. Now that you’ve explained it to me, it’s much clearer.

Everything Gase is doing is working perfectly.

BTW, I’ll piss and moan to my heart’s content.

Howard’s the mvp. Tunsil is second.

Trade Kenyan Drake this offseason and get a back that can run inside zone and catch passes.

There’s always plenty of them out there.

The guys not Marshall Faulk folks. Not by a long shot

Drake has 31 receptions to Gore’s 7.

Drake has 60+ more scrimmage yards than Gore. He’s getting the ball, just not in the form of rushing attempts.

Like a lot of poster’s had said, Gore doesn’t lose yards on rush attempts, Drake often does. When BO is your quarterback, 2nd and 13 is pretty difficult to overcome. I see no problem here. Drake is averaging over 7 ypc, strengths are being played to.

It's been a poor job of getting a good mix between both but the old man is a work horse getting you 4 yards a carry. Still, I'd like to see a better combo.

Love the idea of running the I-form with Gore as fullback. You can toss to Drake. Hand it to Gore and phantom the toss. Then run play action off of both faking hand-off and toss. Fake Gore hand-off to Drake screen. Gore is still there for pass block while Drake can run drags, wheels, outs, chip into a route. So many options.

I'd like to see Drake matched with LBs on routes over the middle.

Drake's speed makes him a threat to get that homerun play. Gotta do a better job of getting him on the field.

I owe, I owe- lmao.

Drake has 30 plus catches. Would’ve had another touchdown last week if Brock didn’t have his pass knocked down.

You can be a weapon as a running back without running it.

The stuff that satisfies some fans. Amazing.

It really blows my mind that Gase is beyond reproach from people on here. I watch games and I ask myself, how is it that the Patriots can have Brady get the ball out of his hands in a split second, have their WRs stay close to the LOS, and run picks that are never called OPI (because the WRs stayed disciplined and close to the LOS).

Then I watch the Dolphins run similar plays and get called for OPI regularly.

It’s coaching, plain and simple.

There was a throwback play in the Pats game the other night where the entire Pats offensive line stood in place to avoid getting an illegal man downfield or blocking penalty, then ran an escort for the receiver. The discipline was impressive.

No one on this team has discipline like that. You’re telling me that isn’t on Gase? Given the limitations of the offensive line, he needs the ball out of the QBs hands quickly. Yet he can’t draw up successful plays to get it done.

Didnt say everything he was doing was working perfectly but in this case he is using the players in a way that gives them an advantage

Gase sure has a lot of personal clairvoyants on FH that are great at telling us what he's thinking and why he does everything. It's amazing.

Not defending him bc i feel some of the play calling has been far too predictable but do you guys not realize how had it is to pull off some of these complicated positive plays when your line can't stop a child and your QB can't hit anyone past 10 yards? Then when he gets creative and all you hear is "have to use tricks to move the ball" nonsense. Our QB is a liability and the line is suspect..... kind of limits the playbook.
