The Genius that is Bill Belicheck and How the Dolphins should Learn from the Pats

Are we talking about Brady the number 1, 1st round pick who in his first session of OTA outplayed Bledsoe for the Pats starting job or are we talking about arguably the most courageous decision made by a HC to start and go with an unknown 6th Round pick over a star QB (loved by the owner) who had just signed the biggest contract deal for a QB at that time?

you know Brady came in b/c Bledsoe got hurt, right? what was courageous about that? and keeping the man who turned their season around over a terrible Drew Bledsoe took no guts.

I will say again Tom Brady the greatest footbll player ever to walk the earth. The only player in the NFL that singlehandedly wins games by himself regardless of a very average coach. Who cares if they win with less talent, who cares he had to start a wr at corner its all Tom Brady. We should only judge Belichek by 4 years in Cleveland and not the past decade and a half of winning. Those dont count because he has a great qb.

Belichick is a great coach. a nice mind. but having one of the most intelligent QB´s in history helps. Miami had the weapons to be unpredictable but loosing keller and Gibson will definitely hurt.

he won w/ mediocre offensive talent and a choking D, he took an O w/ Jabar Gaffney and reche Caldwell as his main weapons to w/in minutes of the SB(choking D prevented it). On the negative he took an O w/ Randy Moss at his best and lost a SB BUT he did give D a late lead which they blew.

Im pretty sure BB is not just an innocent bystander lol. He is among the greatest of all time and if people are blind to that because he could not lead Cleveland to the promised land then so be it.
He lost Brady for a season and still they won 11 games and I dont give a crap about so called easy schedules.

Again, I have said he developed into a great coach thanks to Brady saving his job but reason #1 they have been as great as they have been is b/c of Brady. BB played a huge role but Brady is the biggest reason.


Miami won 1 in 2007, they won 11 in 2008. Does that give you a clue about how easy the 2008 scheds were? NE lost 5 more games than 2007- that is a HUGE difference and they MISSED the playoffs despite the easy sched.

Many a coach has had a great qb but no team has ever won superbowl just based on one player. Ne has adapted thier offense over the years as the talent has shifted and has never been laden with offensive talent outside the Moss /Welker year quite a combo.

The schedule excuse is bs. They beat the eventual superbowl runner ups and for some reason with that same easy type schedule the Jets won less games. The jets and dolphins in the past 10 years have had some easy schedules and have had less than 11 victories in many of those so called easy scheddules. I dont try to talk away the jets playoff runs from a few years ago because , you got the job done but trying to make excuses why BB has been successful is petty and without merit. No one playr makes a team a champion in football

Hell u just have to look to this season to see how BB keeps his teams together. They have lost their pro bowl type Te, missed their other pro bowl Te. Forced to use rookie wr's. Been without their best wr.
Lost one of the best DT in football, one of top MLB in football, best corner for a few games and still are winning the division. Hell we are acting like all is lost because we lost our third receiver and they won losing their best lineman

I don't know how many times I must say he has developed into a great coach so that means I think he is a top coach, right? But the biggest reason has been Brady, BB would be a DC somewhere if Brady never emerged. I admire BB as a football coach, was a great DC and has developed into a top HC but if not for Brady he never gets that chance.


The SB runner up was 9-7 and was terrible when they came east and clearly gave up in that Pats game. we scored 56 against them and crushed them too and we weren't very good.

It was one of the easiest sched of all time and they lost 5 more games than the year before. If you guys lost 5 more this year than last year you'd go 2-14, if we lost 5 more we'd go 1-15. 5 games is a HUGE difference.
