The good that comes out of all this is? Bill Cowher!

Why don't we get Bill Parcells, Dan Henning and Tony Sparano back so that more bad decisions are made? Wildcat mark II. They convinced Ireland to recruit the cornfed mauler who could be the leader of the locker room. The legacy of Parcells just keeps on giving...

these would be my top 3 choices either keep Joe Philbin, Brian Billick, or Jon Gruden.

I wouldn't want Cowher and I'm a Steeler fan.

Remember Kordell Stewart and all those gimmicky, trick plays?

Gruden would be my choice, either one. The OC from the Bengals or Chucky himself
Bill Cowher also won. A lot. Funny how you ignore that.

Not a fan but I'd it means an end to those awful time Warner ads, ill take it

Actually, Cower is not in the Hall of Fame.

He was never a GM either. What makes you think he could even assume the role?

And, NO, I don't want him either.

Your kidding yourself if u think cowher wont be a HOF.

I would say you need a guy with a rep like Tony Dungy to fix this situation!

What big name will want to come to a team/organization that has mud all over it's face?

Why quit on Philbin now? He's 4-4 in his second season he's doing so/so. I think if he wins 10 games this year he has most likely earned a chance to come back next year.

If these players are ready to rally around this coach I'm ready to watch them win some games.

I despise the media trying to make my team and coach look bad. I'm even more supportive of the Fins, if that's possible. f*** the media, f*** Martin.

I'm not ready to abandon ship on Philbin, he hasn't even had a chance to let his 2nd season play out.

If Philbin fails then maybe Cowher but I've seen that movie before. Johnson was going fix everything, Parcells was going to fix everything. Even if it is Cowher I'm not excited to go through it again. I don't think a lot of people don't realize it's no lock for a Super Bowl champion coach to return to the game an win another one. It usually just doesn't work that way

Tony D would be perfect to turn this entire organization around.

But I listen to the Dan Patrick show daily. It seems like every off-season or any time a coach is fired DP asks Tony if he will return and the answer is always NO. He seems happy and content as can be.

I'd love to have him running this team, but for now that seems like just a pipe dream.

I'd pass on Bill Cowher, I'd be OK with Gruden,he still has a little fire in him. I'd like someone younger and someone with a fire in his belly.

Gruden was a head coach for 11 seasons. in that time he went to the playoffs 5 times. was 1 and done 2 times, won 1 and then lost twice and won the superbowl (winning 3 games in the playoffs) once...

Cowher was a head coach for 15 seasons. In that time he went to the playoffs 10 times. He was 1 and done 2 times, won at leas 1 game 7 times and won the superbowl (winning 4 games in the playoffs)once...

based on those statistics alone, who would you rather have as a coach...Hint, its cowher, you cant go to the superbowl without going to the playoffs and cowers teams go to the playoffs...(i will grant you that the steelers as an organization are 1000 times better than the bucs and raiders but still)

We're 4-4 at the halfway mark.....why don't we take a wait and see attitude before we have all the blow things up talk. Things could be much much worse. ....would you want to be a Raider's or Jaguar's fan with all the issues they have had. We haven't had that many losing seasons or negative stories in Miami. Don't let one player disagreement cloud your judgment.
