The guy's a stud...."fill in position"

There are plenty of homophobes here. I'd almost say mostly homophobes. I never even read the responses after I said I was gay in a thread.
You might be surpised some of us have a little class :).

The only exception to this is if a team has an embarrassment of riches at a position (see Corey Simon and the Eagles).

The Bears do not have an embarrassment of riches at QB. They simply have an embarrassment.
Simon isn't a good example because they tagged him, he wasn't really a cast off, they just knew they couldn't pay him so they let him go to free a roster spot.

Sure, sure ... yeah, yeah ... but there are sometimes similar situations where a good player (maybe not a "stud") is cut purely for cap reasons.

I did not see the Hutchison thread you reference. Rest assured I would have slpped the virtual snot out of whomever proposed that idea.

I realize you are just ranting and that i will probably get attacked cause my post count is no where near what yours is,

but what im tired of is people complaining about other threads. If anything, threads like these are more played out than threads about recently cut "studs"

Further, this is a message board. Without threads and posts the board would close down.

yeah.

. IF YOU ARE CUT YOU ARE NOT WORTH BRINGING TO OUR TEAM!! .

While for the most part that is a true statement, it's not ALWAYS true. A team could have great talent at one position and a guy could still be a performer but just gets cut because he costs too much. Hell, a STARTER could get cut because of his salary if there are able backups to fill his spot. However, this is a pretty rare case and 98% of the guys who get a "So-and-So is cut, lets sign him, 'he's a stud'" threads definately are not studs and just people who couldn't hack it (see, Chad Hutchinson, among others). There are a few worthy of taking a glance at, like Corey Simon, Peter Warrick, Peerelss Price (I still think one of those two could add awesome depth to our WRs, but I'm in no way calling them studs) and maybe Tim Couch, (just because we need SO much help at QB) but most couldn't hack it in other places and especially won't here, givin Saban's complex defense and coaching style.

How many "stud" players get cut in training camp?? Right before the season starts and a "stud" player gets cut. I've read so many people on this site talking about these "stud" washouts that I can't stand it anymore. They got cut because they didn't perform, cost more than there performance could justify, or are malcontents. No where does the media say " Stud linebacker Joe Smith was cut today by the Cardinals, and picked up immediately by Miami because they know how much of a sure fire stud he is." "The Cardinals are idiots" says coach Saban, "thank God we scan Finheaven and thank God there is a poster on there named Megatron to tell us what a stud Smith is because his video looked pretty bad but he must be a sure fire stud if the experts on Finheaven want him" " Thanks Finheaven for bringing home the studs."
:soapbox:
