In the Heat fan's dreams Posey developes into a Bruce Bowen clone. But so far this season he hasnt played well, hasnt provided either the defense or offense that EJ gave. But hes all the Heat have.....Anderson cant handle starting minutes at this point in his career. Look for the Heat to use more of the three guard lineup at times with JWill, Payton and Wade.

Walker has been a disaster so far....the Heat are undefeated when he shoots less than 10 times in a game. Hopefully Riley and Shaq can reel him in and cut down on those threes and miserable drives. He doesnt have the ability to drive and dish so you cringe any time you see him put the ball on the floor. But with Shaq back healthy and JWill returning soon he will get his playing time and shot attempts cut....should lead to a far more cohesive unit on the floor.

You might as well ask a dog not to scratch.

I too trust Posey a heck of a lot more then Walker, Toine seems to play like he doesn't have control of his body. When he drives he just throws his weight around and chucks up an ugly shot.

-Hopefully your right about the thumb injury and he heals.

- I wouldn't say Toine has been a complete disaster but he certainly has been dissapointing.

-Very Interesting stat about being 13-0 when Toine shots under 10 shots..

I sure hope so Section, they are due for a big one. You seem like a very knowledgable Heat fan, I got a few questions for you..

- I love James Posey, I think he can be our Bruce Bowen ( Hitting the 3 when needed, locking down the opponents best defender). He has struggled a bit this season, is it due to his thumb injury?

He is a better rebounder than Bowen, and is much quicker....In the help defense we play he is a much better fit for us than a Bowen would be. having said that....he is not Bruce Bowen...Bowen is a lock down defender...Posey struggles with "complete" ball players like Carmelo Anthony.

- Antione Walker. Obviously a guy with a lot of talent and unique abilities. Doesn't really seem very comfertable out there, do you think he gets better as the season progesses? or do you see Riley making a move involving him.

He is gonna find a role...very similar to how Riley used Anthony Mason in New York. Riley is gonna ask him to run the second team offense....he has shown at times that he can do that...he is still adjusting...I almost freaked when I saw him playing defense against Chicago...It looks to me that Toine wants to stick with this team..he is working hard.

- Pat Riley, being from my hometown I've had the chance to meet him (My Grandpa is good friends with him). It just seems that the players are willing to play harder and buy into him a lot more then SVG. We know he will improve the defense, and will adjust to our offense like he has done in the past.

Not to rag on SVG...but if you saw the two games after SVG left...you saw the difference...SVG was always freaking out....Riley is always cool...even when things are going bad....My guess is that the vets didn't buy into Stan and were tired of him ripping them all the time.

Thanks

GO HEAT!!!

That stat you posted is a little out of wack....out of the 13 wins...8 of them...Walker shot more than 10 times....It is actually a pretty worthless stat because he played a great game against Denver and we lost.

He doesn't have the ability to drive and dish?.......He is great in the open court and one of the best 6'9 players in the league in the open court...he is a great passer on the break and a tough cover for anybody in the league with his back to the basket.

There is a reason he has been an All-Star.

This Toine hating is getting to be a bit much.

Thanks for the response Section.

Can't wait for the game tonight, finally get to catch a game :)

Even more revealing stat. 11 or less shots by Toine.....8-2. The only games Miami managed to lose with Toine taking that few shots were the 0-10 stinker he had against the Clippers and the lousy game against the Magic. Face it, when Walker is a large part of this offense, the team is more likely to lose. He just has far more off nights than on.... And given his inability to go to the charity stripe, that 5-15 performance really hurts the team.

Really has Walker done anything positive outside running the fast break? He doesnt play defense, doesnt rebound well since hes never in the paint, doesnt shoot well, and turns it over far too much. The most revealing stat of all is that the Heat are +1.6 when hes on the court.....+4.5 when hes off. He makes the team worse when hes out there.

Haha yea, Heat look pretty good tonight. Walker is playing well, Shaq looks great.

The Sixers just don't have enough of a complete team to compete with the Heat. Iverson is incredible but the guy can only do so much. Needs a secondary scorer to take some pressure off of him.

Heat 89-Sixers 74 in the 4th....c'mon Sixers. :) Steven A Smith said the Sixers were too soft and not able to rebound or play D.....they need to get some big guys who can rebound and play D,,,,,,now 89-78.

Sixers making a game out of it after all, 95-90 Heat.
