I'm still waiting for Dwyane Wade to step it up and play a good game... he hasnt been himself these past 3 games and I've been watching him since his Rookie Year and I dont remember where hes had 3 pretty bad games.

He played pretty well IMO, he just got in foul trouble and couldn't play the minutes he usually does, dropping his numbers and his production a bit.

Wade didn't play much because of foul trouble, and after that flagorant foul, he went from having a great game to a decent one. He had 14 points in the first half and he shot like 3/5.

Don't worry, sooner or later, Wade will drop 30/8/8 or something like that.

I would say the Nets made you play like crap and took it to you!
Wade wasn't himself because he was shut down!

AHHH...NO...Wade was missing easy shots all night...congrats on your lotto win.

As for the Lakers...The Heaters played a pretty good game considering that when we went to kill the game by going into Shaq...the Lakers fouled him repeatedly and he just missed hooks....

Nice Performance by Kobe down the stretch......

We hope everyone had a fantastic holiday weekend. We also hope you're geared up for New Year's, and a full week of hoop.

We think the Lakers-Heat lived up to the hype.

It had just about everything: star power, close game, some definite trash talk, and amazing postgame sound bites.

Without a doubt, Lamar Odom gave us the sound bites of the season. We'll get to that in second.

But let's discuss the game first.

The Glove has been one of our favorite players for a long long time. We've always respected the game, but we've always loved the mouth. G.P. played his most efficent game of the season, and although he talked it down afterwards that it was just another game, we know Payton holds a grudge against the Lakers. G.P. felt like he had a promise that when he picked up his option two years ago, he would not be traded. But a couple weeks later he was a member of the Boston Celtics. It may not have been the first thing on Payton's mind, but he definitely had extra incentive to play well against his old squad. He shot 9-for-11 from the field, hit a big 3-pointer and played some timely defense.

Good post Bamaphin...

On Lamar Odom....boy does he have thin skin....

Payton was talking a ton of trash and what does Odom do? He takes to bumping into Payton and elbowing Haslem after haslem takes a rebound....Haslem laughed at him...Payton went off with a string of expletives...It was fun if you can read lips....

This laker team will be in the playoffs...and it is due to some real scrappy players...too bad that Kobe won't let them play....He is too busy jacking up 80 shots a game....

i know the pistons and spurs are the two best team but there game was the worst big hype game i've ever seen

That's because unless you like defense, you hate the game of the Pistons and Spurs. They slow down the game and make it boring.

I hope Riley can coach the HEAT in ways that they can slow down the opponents while maintaining the team scoring average. His Heat teams were about defense back in the day.

Just wondering how many Laker games you've seen this year?

You overrated your team last year, and you're doing it again this year. The Nets aren't even in Miami's class, or even close to being there. It's an 82 game season, everybody loses up to 5 or more games they should win, especially so early in the season. Vince Carter is good for a few performances like that every year, even though he is the true meaning of an inconsistent shooter, which would kill any team. As for Wade, you clearly don't have a clue what the hell you're talking about. Wade had an off night, and he's good for one of those every 10 or so games, unlike Vince Carter and Jason Kidd who shoot under 40% every other night, or more (for Kidd's sake). He did not get shut down, are you kidding me? Nobody has had an answer for Wade yet, and if someone ever gets one, it won't be the Nets :sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol:

Don't get your hopes up and start talking crap. The Nets are a pretty average team, and they'll probably be one for the next couple of years until Kidd goes on the decline. They're not in the elite class with Miami who is just now playing with all their pieces healthy, and for one, Jason Williams was JUST returning against you guys. Calm down, it's only 1 game and again, the Nets are a pretty average team who is on a nice run, and that's a COMPLIMENT. ****, I'd KILL to play you guys in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Wade is shooting 45% from the field, Carter 46% and carter has taken 103 3 pointers while Wade just 31.

But a Heat fan who has never seen a Finals should start talking crap? at ;east the Nets have made 2 trips in the last 4 years while Miami has never made it.

1. Wow, you got taken out in 6 in one appearance and swept in another. Congrats.

2. What does your team's failure in the Finals have to do with the team they are today? Which is, you know, what Blueprint was talking about in the first place.

I think right now the Nets are right there with the Heat, Pacers, and Cavs for who's the 2nd best team in the Eastern Conference!
