Antoine Walker is this team's biggest liability. He does a lot of good things, but very inconsistently. We will never again be outcoached like we were last year in the Finals, but if it comes down to elimination...I guarantee you it'll be Walker who doesn't show up in the deciding game.

I'm willing to give Walker another month. As we have said, the team needs to play together and develop chemistry. But if he doesn't improve and figure out his role by the end of January, I want him traded.

Then go re-read my post, because I never said he wasn't an All-Star. I said he's barely an All-Star, which is 100% true. Look at the Eastern Conference's guards. All-Stars are formed by guards, not PG/SG as I said. So, basically, you can have all SG's make it and no PG's.

He's not in the elite-3 of guards in the East, therefore he's a borderline All-Star because he can easily be bumped off.
Regardless of whether he is or isn't an all-star, he's a great player who is as clutch as anyone in the league. He constantly kills us with big shots at the end of games and he seems to get every picky call

Also, let me add that Chauncy Billups happens to be one of my favorite players in the league, so there's no hate involved here. I'd love to have him on my team.

You know what I noticed about this game? Miami clearly had the two best players on the floor (Wade & Shaq). Shows you how much team chemistry factors in..

Does anyone else see this since Walker has came to the heat... He has something about him that like when hes gonna shoot hes GONNA shoot no matter what and you can sorda tell when he decided hes gonna shoot. And its like funny you can like point it out here it goes. And then when hes going to shoot a lay up he like shoots it real fast.
Yup your right. He will start dancing and dribbling, draw some contact, and shoot an unathletic quick shot.

I love his talents but I have to say i'm starting to lose some patience with him.

Okay, I was simply stating that was all of the above qualities that he has.

Man it sucks were gonna have to face these guys in the play offs again.. man i really wanna see the heat win it all too.

How the hell doesn't that make sense?

Dwyane Wade
Allen Iverson
Gilbert Arenas......all clearly better players.

Then, you've got Vince Carter, Michael Redd, Rip Hamilton <---Billups is in THAT class.

Sorry, but unless you're in class #1, then you're not a "clear-cut" All-Star caliber guard. Remember, the All-Stars are formed by GUARDS, not POINT GUARD/SHOOTING GUARD.

Billups just dropped 30 on the Heat and his team is on pace for one of the best regular season all-time records. I doubt he gets it, but I don't think the MVP chants are as far fetched as you think. If he's not league MVP, he's definately Detroit's MVP and leader and that's pretty big considering they're the number 1 team out there. He's the one that takes the clutch shots and leads Detroit down the court. He's their leader.

Billups brings a lot more to the table than Arenas. And that's not me saying it, that's Dwyane Wade, who recently proclaimed, Billups, the most underated player in the league and a top 3 PG (after Iverson and Nash).

walker needs to learn his role on this team - although he seems to think so, driving to the basket trying to create a foul is not it...

Walker.. I thought he was going to be like Odom.. but man i'll trade Walker for Odom any day, I remeber back in the day Odom was one of my favorites.

What do you guys think of this trade?

Edit: Never mind, the link doesn't work. It was Antoine and Doleac for Odom, which worked under the CBA.

Ooooh man I would love to see Odom back in Miami.. and yea Doleac hahah Doleac we dont need him. Who I would really love to see in miami was my favorite player Rafer alston man I remember that buzzer beater. Anyone know who he plays for now? I thought it was Toronto but I think he got moved and I was wondering what team and how hes doing.

You gotta be encouraged by this game....

We played our future ECF opponent...and OUTPLAYED them....

The officiating was very kind....they were hitting 40 foot shots and fade away desperation shots with 1 second on the shot clock to win this game...

Blueprint got it right...it looked like the best team lost the game....

The officiating was terrible...

A pretty bad stretch was when we tied it with 4 minutes to go after being down by 6.....McDyesse CLEARLY bats the ball out of bounds...and they say Shaq hit it out...replay showed McDyese of course...clearly hitting the ball....He even dived out of bounds to save the ball for christs sake....

Then they hit Wade for two consecutive fouls on the defensive end....

In that stretch...the officials due to their bad calls stopped a Heat run and started a Piston one to give them another cushion....even then...we still came back to tie it again..

I came away seeing two things from this game....Detroit doesn't play half the defense they played last year and they are shooting an abnormal percentage from the 3pt. line....

We on the other hand lack perimeter defense....they lack interior defense...at least against us they do....

You gotta tip your hat to Billups though...he played a great game....what bugged me was that J-Will was destroying Billups off the dribble and we went away from him...

Detroit was better last year....

It's US and THEM in the ECF....this game showed it....it was some impressive basketball being played out there....

I will tell you Piston fans this...and I think you know this after watching this game........once we gel (This was game #5 with the whole team together)......we would win that game we played.

Man, I have never seen anyone in my life so full of excuses. The Pistons won last night the same way they beat you ladies last year. If anything you ladies should be discouraged by last night's loss. When it came down to it and the game was on the line, Detroit was the one who made shots and plays, not the Heat (as always with the Heat). It's always something with you ladies though, "the refs, you guys haven't gelled yet, your starting line-up has only played this amount of games together", ect. Let's finally face the facts, Detroit OWNS SHAQ. They have the formula to beat him and they do everytime is counts. You come up with all these ways the Heat are going to mesh and eventually beat the Heat but until they do, you guys are OWNED BY THEM (at least Shaq, who's supposed to be the difference between the Heat and the rest of the NBA). The Pistons are an elite team, the Heat have little to no chance of being that. The Heat messed up big time when they took on all these stars on one team, if they were smart, they would have had the role players like they did last year and would have let Shaq and Wade lead them. The only reason the Heat will make the ECF is by default, because the East sucks. But let me guess Section, the Knicks suck, the Yankees suck, and I'm a P, that will be your comeback right. Or will it just be a bunch of excuses of why the Heat will anyday now snap out of it and became an elite team in the league (yet continue to show sloppy play when it counts against Detroit). Excuses, excuses, excuses, that's all this thread is about!

Dude...it is obvious that you didn't even see the game...so I suggest that you be quiet.

Detroit "owning" SHAQ? Are you serious? SHAQ kills detroit...in fact...SHAQ OWNS Detroit.

I also love what you said about Miami not coming up big in crunchtime.... :sidelol: ...more evidence that you didn't see the game......

Hate to break it to you..because I know it is a source of embarassment for New York fans...but the Heat IS an elite team.....anybody with a brain knows that.

Overall....your post was full of BS and inaccuracies......see the games...will ya?
