Dammit, I knew it was on and forgot to watch.
 
What a performance by SHAQ....15-16....31 points... Heaters 115 Sonics 106

SHAQ is playing the best basketball he has played since joining the Heat. Total domination.
 
I wish we could trade up for Keyon Dooling or Rafer Alston back, I would love to have them back to bring that energy to the play offs.

I'd kill myself if we ever acquire Keyon Dooling again. He's the biggest ball hog in the NBA for a player who isn't even starting caliber. Damon Jones and his stand still-shoot three's is who I'd love to have back. However, the trade deadline is gone. Hopefully Derek Anderson will get comfortable and healthy enough to enter the rotation by the playoffs. He's gonna need a week or so of conditioning before he'll even be ready to play.

Damn really, I loved him he brought the Miami to the Miami Heat, you could tell that kid was from Miami. But yea who cares now that the tradeline is over.

Lately you've been very generous in giving props to Alonzo Mourning, which is quite a turnaround from the heaping dose of vitriol you usually allot to him. Aside from 'Zo's continuing hard work on defense, what happened to make you change your mind?  Rey


Two things: Mourning has abandoned his chest-beating, self-congratulating antics after dunking the ball. I'd assume that Pat Riley had something to do with this. Also, because he's strictly and indubitably Shaq's backup, Mourning is no longer put in a position to choke in virtually every clutch situation. For me, Mourning doing less means that he's doing more.

Abandoning his chest beating? Man thats what I like he makes everyone get into the game, he has all the heart in the world and why would you wanna take out that? It pumps me up I bet it pumps the team up when he goes crazy like that plus its funny.

Where did this guy get the idea that ZO chokes? Maybe he should check Zo's numbers in the playoffs. Zo had ONE series in his career where he scored below his average for the season....(the ECF vs. Chicago). As late as last year...he played a great second round as a starter in place of Shaq and had a near record breaking defensive output versus the Pistons with 26 blocks.

This guy just repeated what he has heard from ZO haters.

Maybe he should check the Heat plus figures int he playoffs from last year....especially agaisnt Detroit where the heat outscored the Pistons by an average of 8 points per game while Zo was in.
 
Anderson should make Miami a bit better, when he comes in Miami will still have the ability to blow out opponents with Wade on the bench. Miami is gonna win the NBA

Agreed I wasn't too fond of Keyon. A poor man's Kobe Bryant. :lol: ...dribble the clock out, put up a brick or pass it with 5 seconds or less on the shot clock.

What is it with Toronto that always plays us tough?

Toronto has one helluva offensive team.
 
Miami Heat coach Pat Riley said he talked to his team for 90 minutes at practice Sunday, and for an hour the next morning at a shootaround.
Then, before Monday night's game against Toronto, Riley walked into the locker room with tape over his mouth.

''I did not say anything,'' he said. ''I think they got the message.''
Warding off a possible letdown against a sub-.500 opponent, the Heat extended their season-best winning streak to six games with a 101-94 victory.

Dwyane Wade was 15-for-19 from the field and scored 32 points. Shaquille O'Neal added 27 points and 11 rebounds and the Heat shot a season-high 60 percent.

Riley's motivational tactics apparently worked.

''I've been around for nine or 10 years with him,'' Heat center Alonzo Mourning said. ''You never ever know what he's going to do, so you can expect anything. Hey, as long as we're collecting wins when he's doing it, that's all that counts.''

Atlantic Division leader Miami is feasting on a soft stretch in the schedule, and the next five games are against teams with losing records.
