:sidelol: I haven't been paying attention to 'Zo since early in the season but this guy hits the nail on the head about his prior chokings.

This guy just repeated what he has heard from ZO haters.

Maybe he should check the Heat plus figures int he playoffs from last year....especially agaisnt Detroit where the heat outscored the Pistons by an average of 8 points per game while Zo was in.

it's not about #s, it's about coming through late in games and winning series since he was the go to guy on the team and he never came through whether in colleg or the pros and thus has never won any Championships or even competed for any Championships.

AHHH NO.

With the Hornets he had two game winning shots in the playoffs.

With the Heat...Tim Hardaway was the goto guy.

This is just another made up instance for the ZO haters to unite.

As a Hornet he won ONE playoff series in 3 years there and w/ the heat HE was supposedly the best player on the team- they were HIS teams not Hardaway's and they made ONE East Conf Finals appearance(only b/c half the Knick team was suspended) and were a disappoinment every year in the postseason including the post-Jordan years where the East was dreadful until about 2-3 years ago. he is and always has been a choker going back to his college days when ona loaded Georgetown team he never even made a Final Four.

He was never a choker. he was a friggin center...he did his job...his numbers were fine...there are no memorable misses at end of games or huge mistakes. He has never been a choker. End of story. Stick to calling him a thief. This choker crap holds ZERO water.

They were HIS teams, he was the leader and they all underperformed whether he was in college or the NBA. There are reasons for that and it starts w/ the supposed best player on the team.

We disagree. By your definition...too many players would be chokers. Barkley, Ewing, Reggie Miller, etc. Not many different NBA champions in the last 25 years.

I don't really want to get into the whole 'Zo debate again, we did that enough last year but barkley, Ewing and Miller all led their teams to the NBA Finals . By the way I also think Ewing is a choker and is overrated, all his hollow guarantees and chokes in big series kept the Knicks from winning a title). Barkley single handedly kept Phoeniz in that Chi series in '93 and Miller has had his share of GW shots and he led some mediocre Indian teams to the conf Finals in the '90s before they broke through in '00 to win the East.

Barkley also got used up defensively in every single one of those series....Reggie missed the biggest shot of his life in that Lakers series....he was wide open.

Saying someone is a choker based on team performance is in my opinion wrong. A choker is somebody who continues to come up small in pressure situations...ZO is not one...he is actually the opposite.

Like I said....Zo, due to his mediocre free throw shooting was never the goto guy in the late stages in Heat games...It was always a Hardaway, Mashburn combination in the final minute of games.
 
didn't you guys have the same debate last season? all that I know is the Heat are going to the finals, I see no reason to debate about Zo. he is only a back-up and won't effect a game in the clutch time

I love the man.. but he's killing us tonight.

Delonte just hit a 3... one point game. Should be a solid finish tonight if we don't self-destruct down the stretch.
