i agree i watched him when he was with portland all the years and he is incositent so dont count on him for too much.

HUH? The Heat is only Behind Detroit and Dallas in wins of more than 20 points.

22-4 against teams under .500.

Give credit where it is due. Wade didn't play, they fouled Shaq everytime he touched the ball, and the Hawks are a team that has beaten Detroit, San Antonio, and Indiana 3 times.

If you are shorthanded and in foul trouble...and playing against a group that has Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, Salim Stoudmire, Marvin Williams, and Al Harrington all playing out of their minds.....you have escaped what Detroit and San Antonio did not.

Atlanta is up and coming...they have the best collection of young players in the league...if they added ONE star...they would become a 50 win team. I came away impressed with the Hawks.
 
BTW...we are not catching Detroit...so don't get your hopes up...we just gotta give them a nice "sweat" along with Dallas and San Antonio to keep them from resting for the playoffs for too long.

He will play decent, he always plays at least decent and helps SOMEWHERE.

What I'm saying is, no matter how well he plays in the game, if the ball finds his hands in the clutch or he has to defend somebody down the stretch, we lose.

No Antoine or JWill in clutch situations. I'll take the steady vets like Payton and Anderson....they may not be flashy, but they wont turn it over, take a bad shot, and they actually stay in front of their man.

Derek Anderson, makes an impact with the HEAT!!!!

Derek Anderson wasted no time in making a big contribution to Miami Heat.
Anderson's hustle set up Alonzo Mourning's dunk with 1.8 seconds remaining that gave Miami its first lead of the game, and the Heat beat the Atlanta Hawks 95-93 on Saturday night for their season-high eighth straight victory.

"I had an opportunity to make a play that I've been making for nine years," said Anderson, who made his Heat debut after not dressing for three games following a Feb. 23 trade with Houston.

"I didn't know I was going to play. You have to be ready when called upon."
Shaquille O'Neal had 21 points and eight rebounds before fouling out with 3:45 left for Miami, which overcame a 17-point deficit despite playing without Dwyane Wade.

all I want is for the Heat to have the 2nd best record in the NBA when the seasons over. I would see that as a big accomplishment but right now the Heat are behind Det, SA, Pho, and Dal record wise. I know it doesn't matter much but with out much more to play for the rest of the regular season I think that would be a good goal to work towards

That will be very difficult to have the 2nd best record Nick. Pheonix and Dallas are playing on a very high level and are a good 6-10 games ahead of us I believe. We're playing great basketball now though, so you never know :wink:
