"I made the mistake of starting the wrong 5 guys tonight" -Pat Riley

Damn, with GP the only PG on the roster with J-Will out and Wade, Shaq, & Haslem the clear starters...that's an obvious shot at Walker.

It's about time Pat realizes what a complete POS Walker is. Seriously, until Posey comes back, start Kapono or DA and give Dorell Wright a shot. At worst, this guys will play decent defense and be spot up shooters when needed, but they're not gonna hog the ball and either turn it over or put up a ridiculous looking hook shot. If Posey isn't back by Tuesday, actually, I'd like to see Shandon Anderson at the 3, atleast bringing something on the defensive side for the team..

Antoine Walker is a real ****ing idiot...he catches the ball and steps out of bounds. Only that idiot can do something so stupid. I'd really be pleased if he commits suicide. I'm not even joking. .

I agree with all of that

Walker plays best off the bench anyway

He went a little to far with the Walker commiting suicide thing:lol: but damn hes right this guy is killing us. I said this earlier and all of you ripped on me saying hes shooting his best feild goal percentage and all these things. This guy just simply isnt right for the heat he takes the most like un-nba like shots. Damn this heat team is pretty heartless it hurts me.. all this talent. I remember 2003-2004 the team was just pure heart they had so much fight. I hope things change in the play-offs but I know Zo is a big part of that.

Heat at crossroads as postseason looms

Dwyane Wade missed practice on Monday, staying home to battle a virus that's hampered him for several days.

He got off easy. His Miami teammates watched a game tape that they likely found sickening.

Sunday's 93-84 loss to Orlando was the Heat's sixth defeat in their last 11 games, their second straight beating at home and allowed New Jersey to legitimately remain in the race to pass Miami for the second-best record in the Eastern Conference.

Coach Pat Riley blamed himself for the loss. Hearing that, his players immediately came to his aid and pointed fingers at themselves.
Realistically, there's probably enough blame to go around the Heat camp these days.

"I'm absolutely accountable for it, because I picked them," Riley said after Sunday night's game. "This is an ugly, staggering, veteran not-ready-to-play affair. That's all it was. Guys weren't ready to play. Coaches weren't ready to coach."

Despite the slump, which comes about a week and a half before the Heat will open the playoffs at home, the worst-case scenario for Miami is finishing with the No. 3 seed for the East playoffs. Shaquille O'Neal has often said the only thing that matters is getting home court for the first round, which Miami secured long ago.

The bigger issue for Miami is regaining its lost momentum. "We're in control," Wade said softly in an empty and quiet locker room on Sunday.

thought it was lunacy for the Miami Heat to completely revamp their roster and bring in aging, troublesome veterans like Gary Payton, Antoine Walker and Jason Williams. Now I’m sure of it.

I don’t know if Pat Riley paid attention during the 2003-04 season when the Lakers put Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Karl Malone and Payton on the floor together, then watched in horror as the Detroit Pistons used their defensive mettle and unselfish team play to whip them in the NBA Finals.
Chemistry is vital. And chemistry is often misunderstood. It does not mean that guys have to like each other and get together for dinner on off nights. It means finding the ability to play well together, even if that means sacrificing some individual glory.

This Heat team has now lost six of its last 11 games and, aside from the indefatigable Dwyane Wade, appears listless and uninspired. Shaq is there one game, off the next. Ditto for Walker and Payton. And Miami is a middling defensive team, which does not bode well for a march through the postseason. Somewhere along the way the Heat will run into Detroit, and will be less equipped to challenge the Pistons than it was last season when it pushed them to seven games before falling.

Meanwhile, Shaq gets older, slower, fatter and lazier. Although he’ll still be a factor in the playoffs, he doesn’t have the spring in his step anymore to carry a team like this.

Its a good time to pile on for all those who feel the need to say "I told you so!" Somehow I doubt there were many articles like this a month ago. When healthy this team is better and a lot deeper than the 04-05 version. Whether its enough to topple the Pistons remains to be seen. Do hate the reactionary journalism though.

Atleast we'll be a underdog in the playoffs thats the why I like it then if we do I could say no on believed and they did it like the marlins :)

Underdogs? There the # 2 seed? No one's saying that they don't have a chance. The way the Heat are playing right now is saying that for them. They are not playing up to thier level and the fact that they have a few key guys injuried.

Chris Bosh & Dwyane Wade are both out tonight.

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring...........
