Gerald Wallace is sick. He would've been perfect to add onto last year's team, minus the trade + re-signing a sharp shooter in Damon Jones.

But seriously, one thing this team lacks is a straight up three point shooter. Somebody who you can rely on to sit back there and hit shots every night; a Damon Jones type. I wonder how Kapono would play with the starters if we increase his minutes in the playoffs? I actually like Kapono a lot for someone who doesn't get enough opportunities down here. I'd like to see an increase in his PT in the final four games. Hopefully we can get a win tomorrow so we can play Dorell Wright, Earl Barron, & Wayne Simien in the final three games. I want to see 20-25+ minutes for Dorell. I still think that kid can be amazing. Dead serious - I think that kid can be a hell of a scorer.

I'm with ya....

I really see Dorrell Wright as a young McGrady (potentially)...

I think it's time that we see wether he is a McGrady or a Willie Burton.....

The kid is extremely athletic.......

As for Damon Jones...I would pass...although..I really liked Damon Jones...seeing J-Will play this year made me realize how we were settling for mediocrity with Damon last year.

J-Will is a stud. Good thing that he is gonna have that corrective surgery on his tendinitis in his knee.

BTW...there was a ZO sighting on the practice court....

WE'RE GETTING HEALTHY, BABY!

From the Sun-Sentinel: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...14apr14,0,4462528.story?coll=sfla-sports-heat

1. Dwyane Wade practiced Thursday and is playing tonight.
2. James Posey has been practicing since Monday and is returning tonight.
3. Jason Williams, not expected to return until the April 22nd playoffs, says he feels "no pain" in the knee & Riley feels as if he may return as soon as Sunday against Chicago.
4. Riley says Zo is improving and hopefully will be back in time to "practice" before the playoffs.

"We're 21-7 this year when [our top eight players] have been healthy," Riley said. "So when we're all healthy, I think we have a very good team.

"We just [have to] get the playoffs going and see where this thing takes us."

Tonights game is very important.

We win tonight...we clinch the #2 seed...and i say...bench everybody.

Play J-Will back into the mix..as well as Posey..But Shaq and Wade should put on a fashion show.

I would also start Dorrell Wright and play him 40 minutes a night, the rest of the way.

yeah..you heard me.

We MUST find out if this kid will ever make our rotation.

Riley has said that he intends to shut it down as soon as we have the #2 seed...but I think that winning 55 games will all the inuries we have had so Riley can give a big "I told you so" might be tempting...

I say...win tonight...and fashion show time...Shaq...get your pimp hats ready...

Couldn't agree more. I say if we win tonight, we come out Sunday with our starters & J-Will back, just to get our guys back in some kind've groove. Second half, let Dorell play the role of the 6th or 7th man. Final 2 games, we start Dorell & play him 35+ minutes a night, and get Simien in there for 30+ minutes as well.........

Heat throttles 76ers, locks up No. 2 seed

The phrase is one Pat Riley has repeated often of late, and it was written again in the Miami Heat locker room on Friday night.

“Finish the task.â€Â

His team did just that, with Dwyane Wade getting 25 points and eight assists to beat Philadelphia 76ers 104-85 and secure the Eastern Conference’s No. 2 playoff seed and home-court advantage for the first two postseason rounds.

Guys....you saw the Miami Heat...

They played a desperate team with some talent...and just throttled them.

Like I said...as tempting as it may be to win 55 games and say "i told you so"...I say this...the season is over.

Rest everybody...and give Dorrell heavy minutes...

You never know...maybe he shows something that would warrant 10 minutes a game in the playoffs.

As long as Dorell shows something that would warrant 20-25+ minutes a game next year, then I'm good. But you never know, he may show enough to earn a spot on the playoff roster & snatch up some playoff minutes; maybe even steal Kapono's role as our change of pace 2/3.

(yes, I am a big Dorell Wright fan who has grown very impatient) :fire:

I dont think Wright is going to be doing much more than trying on expensive suits during the playoffs. The odds on him making the final 13 are slim at best. Kapono is a lousy in all other aspects of the game, but hes the best three point shooter on the team.

Odds are Wright will be on another team in a couple of years...just the risk you take drafting kids out of high school.

When I was trying to think of 13 players earlier, I forgot all about Derek Anderson.

Yeah, Dorell & Earl Barron = locks to not make the playoff roster. But still, he can give Riley a reason not to give him up in the offseason in a deal with Doleac or somebody else for a veteran player.

Who has the tie-breaker between Milwaukee & Indiana?

Nah. He just needs to get used to playing at the NBA level. Remember he skipped a level in college and needs time. Not every player out of highschool can be a Lebron or Kobe right away.
