Would Posey have been considered "owned" if Sweetney had done the same thing to him??

A guy illegally blindsides a smaller guy. Big wow. Posey didn't even put him on the ground.

Silly IMO. Posey got himself "owned" by the league for this junk. He's one of the only guys on the roster playing good defense. And he promptly gets himself thrown out.

Brilliant.

I agree, stupid stupid move by Posey, the Bulls are a good enough team as it is, we dont need to be helping them w/ this kind of crap that only weakens our line-up and probably fires up an already pumped up Bulls, we better win game 3 or this series could get ugly really fast

I usually don't toot my own horn, but I told ya so with the suspension. I'm guessing Blueprint is setting fire to the NBA offices right now.

You don't have a reason to toot your own horn to begin with. I never said he wouldn't get suspended. I simply said it would be dumb to suspend him for something like that, when you've got worse things happening in almost every playoff game (prime example: tonight, when Kwame intentionally elbows a player in the mouth, and gets a technical foul and is still on the floor as we speak).

They'd really deserve it for turning this sport into something only Larry Bird could enjoy watching without complaining. Physical play, emotion, etc. - all of that has been thrown out by dumb rules and refs calling penalties that should be allowed to play out. Posey DID go overboard, however, what he did compared to what others have done, didn't warrant anything more than a technical foul, maybe a flagorant-1 or even 2 to be generous to the boy scout-like league. :rolleyes2

Hey, how does James Posey get a flagorant-2 + suspension yet Kwame Brown only gets a technical for elbowing a player intentionally and walking over his body on the floor, sizing him up? Shows that the league wants to see Miami fail. But that's okay, it's all good. This will be justified whenever Miami wins the series and garbage *** Kirk Hinrich, a career 40% (barely) shooter has to watch the rest of the playoffs at home from his trailor.

He'll be watching the playoffs from the same place you've already been watching the playoffs...THE COUCH. It's funny how your try to justify what Posey did by talking about what Kwame Brown did. If Kwame intentionally elbowed someone (as Artest did) it doesn't mean he won't get suspended. Artest wasn't ejected in the game his incident occurred but got suspended, so let the game END and let's see what the NBA does before you go calling them out. I guess it's dumb to suspend guys for what would be considered a bad tackling technique in the NFL. Give it a rest man with your homerism and take a page out of Muck's book. What Posey did was wrong and you need to stop glorifying it like he did something special and that Heinrich was "owned." You need to start being objective and take a look at things like Muck does. He's one of the only Heat fans that looked at this for what it was, a dirty, stupid, immature play by someone who couldn't keep his cool because he was frustrated with the way the night was going. But I'll stop now, I sense a Knicks joke coming on LMAO!

Clueless about lakers being contenders? time will tell

anyways this thread about the heat. I believe it will go 7 games. I think the bulls are really good as long as they listen to scott skiles.

NO..he meant clueless as to how the NBA salary cap works,,,

and he happens to be right.

I guess your answer is yes. Who wudda thunk it...people actually do get bored with being championship contenders.

I agree with all of what you just said.

It still didn't warrant a suspension.

Is Luke Walton going to get suspended?

BTW..did you notice that Bill Walton didn't call his own son a thug for dumping Tim Thomas? Can you say "Hypocrite"?

sorry to say it heat fans...but if your team is having trouble beating the bulls...ahhh ya no chance they will beat the pistons....if they can even get to them...the heat might be out the next round. miami heat= overrated

I'm not a Heat fan, but the Heat lost one game, a road one at that. They pretty much dominated games 1 and 2, and will probably win the rest of the games in the series.

Thank god we did. With that salary and his often injury problem you can have him. I guess you call that elbow he threw at Tyson and that push in the back not a tick tack foul.

Phew. That was a close one. You almost won more games, but you traded that all away.

There's no argument that Posey did that intentionally. He was not in a position to catch Hinrich and clearly seemed hell bent on leveling him.

IMO he deserves his suspension. It's only one game. Quit crying about injustices.

Please, Blueprint, if anything since the "Showtime" era of the NBA the NBA has been getting progressively MORE physical. It's almost turned into streetball with all the hacking and clawing that is allowed to go unwhistled under the basket. Which is why it's lost a step.

To summarize...

Was this Shaq's worst playoff game ever? He had a 7 point performance when he was 25 years old..I believe vs. the Rockets... (Orlando fans can correct me if I am wrong..) That would have been his worst.

SHAQ was 4-8 FG's....

So his shooting was okay..but why so little shots?

Simple..He got into quick foul trouble and had to sit long stretches..he had only played 14 minutes going into the 4th quarter...He couldn't get warm and played like it..this was his worst Heat performance and close to his worst all-time.

Some of his fouls were ticky tack..but it pointed to the real problem...our guards were turning their guards towards our shot blockers way too quickly..Shaq had to come weak side and thus..he is out of position...result..FOUL. (Personally..I let sweetney take that 15 footer all day..but that's just me..Riley didn't want to allow that for some reason.)

It happened with ZO also...it was a simple matter of playing your defensive scheme correctly.

(When the Bulls go into their pick and roll, the guy getting picked, was going OVER (wade, J-Will, etc..) to avoid allowing the open jumper..then the Bulls would go to the basket and...boom..foul on SHAQ..

How you fix that...is by going under..or just picking up your man earlier and not let them set at the top of the key...

NOW..for the Bulls fan...nobody is saying that it was "clean"...It was an obvious cheap shot..but it doesn't warrant a suspension. MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH worse has happened and will happen.

You may get your wish though..because Stu Jackson is a first class idiot. For him to say that he saw Posey "sizing him up" shows his bias as he is proving that he isn't watching the ball and was watching the one guy that was actually hustling and playing actual defense out there...
and yeah...look for a big Heat win on Sunday...for the same reasons phunwin said.

As for the Pistons..I wouldn't be surprised if the Bucks eek one out in game 3..but the bucks can't win another one or much less even make another one close..

For Prime Time. Quote this.

How about you go and get yourself a god damn clue? I've bashed the Heat more than any Heat fan on here has this season, yet you have the nerve to call me a homer? If I was a homer, would I blatantly tell Antoine Walker to go & kill himself about 82 nights this season? What's wrong with you? Don't talk anything about me unless you actually read the majority of my opinions from the START of this thread. Otherwise, you're making yourself look like what Knicks management is........& that's obvious - STUPID.

No need to. Worst franchise in the NBA; period, point, blank.

i will take ridnour over wade anyday....atleast luke is a pure pg.......wade gets his assits by dumping the ball inside to shaq....ridnour has noone to do that to.....and wade is a overrated scorer.....he sucked at shooting the ball in college and isnt to great at shooting it in the nba.....to bad travis diener will always be remmeber as the best shooter at marquette the past 20 years and everyone in wisconsin knows that. o by the way the pistons are killing the bucks everygame and the heat the games they did win werent blow outs....sorry but heat dont stand a chance.
See, I'd refuse to even put up an argument with you. Your NBA knowledge is probably the worst out of anybody who watches sports - including sports fans who don't even know what the NBA stands for! How can somebody be ridiculous enough to take Luke Ridnour over Dwyane Wade? Then he goes on to mention the 38th overall selection in the 2005 NBA draft, Travis Diener! That guy couldn't even grab onto Dwyane Wade's nuts if he had "what a woman has" & looked identical to Beyonce. :roflmao:

Also, any NBA fan knows that a win is a win. To talk about a blow out being in a different sense than a close game is just stupid, as well. A win is a win, regardless of the point difference. By the way, how about the Detroit Pistons getting EMBARRASSED by 20 points to the Milwaukee Bucks tonight? - just proves that on any given night, any given team can throw down an old fashion AZZ WHOOPIN' if the other team doesn't bring it. Miami & Detroit both took commanding 2-0 leads, went on the road, half-azzed, and got put in their place. I guess the Pistons suck too, huh? Yes, we're in for a treat - 2006 Eastern Conference Finals - Bucks vs. Bulls! I mean, they actually blow teams out when they win, huh............ :rolleyes2

You just got owned, sir. Don't even reply. Move on with your life & leave the NBA behind you.
