The Mike Wallace pass interference in OT

A smart play but based on Newman's reaction, I'm not sure his intent was to commit the PI but rather a weak attempt to try and time a tackle after getting toasted.

I think that reaction was: ****!!! I just got beat deep in overtime.

From my TV, I didn't think Wallace would have made the catch. As it turns out, the PI ended up being a good play for the Bengals since we didn't score.

agreed...it looked like it was too far out in front of him...but hey they didn't give us the heartline armbar PA so they owe us...

When I saw this on TV last night I thought "what a absolutely awesome shot" glad you guys picked up on it too

Priceless!

that was as close to an inevitable "home run" reception as I've seen in awhile. And no one knew it more than the defender!

Got to say - I couldn't be mad at the defender for making that play. Im 32 and play competitive flag football. When these 23yr olds go burning down the sideline I sometime have to make a vet move here and there to save a TD. Now if we didn't end up winning today I would have been pissed.

We should go deep to wallace more, waiting til overtime to go deep to ur best wr is the reason we almost lost this game.

smart move by Newman, he was burnt and he new it and took one for the team saving a TD.

I would have asked the same from our CBs in a similar situation - "the end justifies the means"

It was in stride but would he had cought it

This is why they need to go deep more! Wallace can beat anyone and will get those calls. Hey this year it's a good day when Tannnehill only gets sacked 3 times. We will never know if that ball would have been caught..

That is the take the top off the defense home run we have been missing! Now do it 3 or 4 times a game.

Since we won anyway, everyone calls it a smart veteran play. Had we lost, it would have been called cheating.

It was 'cheating' and he got flagged for it. I would not have called for anything, it was a headsy play and I wish the Phins defenders do the same in a situation like that.
I come from Canada and we have hockey here, these types of desperation penalties happen alot more frequently in hockey, like a defensemen hooking down someone just before he shoots in an empty net or stuff like that. So, I'm fine with that... live to fight another play...
