the NEW leadership committee

Dungy had a homosexual son who committed suicide. Dungy himself is know for doing fundraisers with fairly antihomosexual groups. Not football related, but it is a pretty dick move to do to your son, regardless of if it contributed to his suicide.

I didnt even know that. Turns out Google brings all that right up. Wow.
Such a great, open minded honorable man.

Ross went for big names some of them really care about the players like Dungy..
Marino is a Dolphin Great! I don't think Marino ever really went out of the way to help any dolphin Qb's get better when he retired the game so he just a figurehead.
Taylor is a good choice because he has not been out of the game very long good talker. You know Shula is not a fan of ireland. Curtis martin i really don't get that one did Ross just choose that one because he shares Johnathan martins last name?

When i think of Stepehen Ross i think of mr burns from South park..

Tony Dungy, Don Shula, Dan Marino, Jason Taylor, and Curtis Martin....

#1 has anything like this ever existed in football? I applaud Ross for his "proactive" approach but jesus whats this?
#2 what does this mean for our team? to me, it seems as though this front office is gone.. including Philbin. Ross repeatedly referred to necessary change, and now we know where he's seeking advice from
#3 is this a positive or negative?? As much as I love Don and Dan, Don is getting up there in age and Dan has Jon Martin'd us before... this is puzzling.

yes DS is aged, but wisdom has no age. and imo DCM left because he couldn't deal with the 'dundertwins' Wannstedt/Speilman. it's their town. their statues outside the stadium; their names on the street markers. their team. they built it... they've earned the right to tear it down and remake it.

I'm not a fan of Dungy or Martin being on there, both due to lack of connection to our team, as well as Dungy's holier than though attitude. Also don't think Don should be either, he's just too old, and his health is poor. Asking too much of the poor guy at this point I think.

I'd agree on Shula. I don't think he's in the position to be tasked with anything super
taxing right now. I don't understand Dungy and Martin at all. Taylor I can let
slide. What are they going to do, and how are they going to provide leadership for
players that they are not playing with/beside?

I've pretty much defended Ross all the way through from the time he bought the
team to now. I don't think I've ever parted ways with him, or at least understood
where he was going with things.....But this......wow. I can't ride with this.

now if Martin turns out to be gay, hiring Dungy will become a huge issue knowing the media.

I'm not sure I understand the point of that second committee.

Martin is a known good character guy and has a good professional relationship with Dawn Aponte having been with the Jets while she was there

I never knew about this, but you are totally right, if what I read on google is accurate. I had little respect for Dungy before, and I have been unburdened of the rest.

Wait ..... Thee Curtis Martin? Really? Dwight Stephenson or someone like that wasn't available?

I am absolutely sure every one of those people has been involved in
what's gone on in Bullygate, or worse, to one degree or another.

I find it extremely hard to believe that the 70s Dolphins were choirboys.

Too bad Lyle Alzado is too dead to serve, but what about Bill Romanowski?

However, getting Dan involved is a good thing, but so would have been bringing Zac back for this and a coaching job too.
