Walk it off Clement.....that's what I hate about baseball.....twenty coaches run out to the mound for a hangnail....quit being a girly man.

Right now I wish he left the game.

Unreal. That this team went into Boston without our #1 pitcher and won 2 of 3! Ended up 3-3 in this 6 game road trip vs NY and Boston. Great job by this team.

Melky is looking better. I might have been wrong about him. His defense is shaky at best but he puts the bat on the ball. He may turn out to be another surprise from our "crappy" minor league system. LOL

This was huge. Now we get the Royals and hopefully we "get healthy" vs them!

Hey you should have listened to me about Melky. I told you that he was going to be a decent hitter.

Melky has shown he can hit, now if he can imrpove his defense we might have a player.

What a great job by the Yanks to take 2 of 3. I was HOPING for 1 of 3, they battled and won the last 2 nights. Boston had a chance to knock us down and couldn't do it. This team in the last couple of weeks has shown more guts than any team in the last few years. They are undermanned but keep battling and battling.

Our defense stinks anyway, so that is why I am not worried about Melky's play in the outfield. Even if he were a gold glover we would still stink defensivly. We need him to hit. We need a bat.

I like how this team isn't just depending on the long ball to win either. Some key base hits. Working pitch counts, getting walks. We are playing like we did in the late 90's moreso.

Also, the bullpen is pitching well and with Dotel coming back it can only get better. Farnsworth striking out Ortiz with the bases loaded! NICE!!!!! Farnsworth has pitched well thus far and nobody is laughing at that signing now!

Apparently you weren't watching the same games everyone else was, in the 3 games vs. the Red Sox: 10 innings, 13 hits, 8 runs, 8 walks, 6 strike outs and 2 home runs is good? The bullpen was shakey as hell and were 1 hit in each of the last 2 games from blowing it.

On the plus side Rivera looks to be back to form which is huge for the Yankees. Getting a healthy Dotel back might be the key to the Yankees season.

Farnsworth has been decent, he started off well but has been shakey the last few games. He's got a WHIP of 1.53, eventually that could catch up to him. He's been a strike out machine, which he has always been, but he's averaging at least a hit and a walk per inning, again which he has always done. Although he might not have blown the game the past two nights, I'd love to keep facing Farnsworth in a big spot. Eventually the guy is going to crack under pressure which he has a history of doing.

The Red SOx have one of hte top 3 linupes in all of baseball. So, of course they will get their numbers vs the Yanks bullpen! It's not always about the numbers. The pen didn't blow either game, that's all I care about. Procter got touched up a bit on Tuesday, but aside from him. Myers did fine. Farnsworth did fine. Rivera did fine. Dotel coming back, I feel ok with this bullpen right now.

Farnsworth is getting the job done. End of story. You can try and spin it anyway you want. If he blows up, I will be all over him. But as of now he is doing a heck of a job. He isn't losing us games, thats all I care about. Find a way to get us to Rivera with the lead. End of story. He is doing that.

You can spin it anyway you want but although the pen got the job done you can't be happy with their work this series. If the Sox pitched like that and still won I'd jump all over them. You can't do that against a good team and expect to win.

The team won 2 out of 3. And they got us to the 8th or 9th with the lead and able to hand the ball over to Rivera. THAT IS GETTING THE JOB DONE!

How they get there, walks, hits...whatever. Get the ball to Rivera with the Yanks in the lead. Period. That's there only job.

I don't care how ugly or pretty it looks. Just get the ball to Rivera with the lead.

Yes, survivng the series against the Sox and taking it anyway we can please me very much!!!!
