i was laughing at how u said jj put is horrible. but now now ur saying he is average. way to contradict yourself there......

and again i ask how many games have u seen jj pitch?

I've seen enough to know that he's a middle of the road reliever. And to clarify, the word terrible was typed after he proceeded to blow a two run lead. I've typed several times since that point that he's an average reliever.

Also, who cares how much I've seen the guy pitch. You can find statistics at various websites that tell you all you need to know. Look up the numbers yourself, outside of an excellent first half, his numbers aren't overly impressive. 2 years ago he had a .277 BAA.

Yeah, that's real stellar.

Sorry bro, You know I usually got your back, but Putz is actually pretty much smokin hot this year. He has started back off the second half a little rough, but overall, he has been stellar....

EDIT: At least he doesnt have as many errors as homeruns....

Yeah, they do. What are you trying to say? JJ Putz brings something more to the team? What type of intangibles does JJ Putz bring to the Seattle Mariners? His nickname can be Captain Intangibles Jr.

Yes that was two years ago. The year after his numbers improved, but still not to the point that one would classify the guy as closer material. And it's funny, when you are evaluating a players worth to the team, all you can base it on is track record and projections.

JJ can improve, but he's yet to show it for an entire season. At 29, sooner rather than later he's gotta put it together or it's never going to happen. This could be the year, but his track record says no way he sustains this success. I guess we'll see...

Who's debating this? He's been great this year... to this point. I have serious doubts he can sustain it. His track record states that he can't.

Start spreading the news
I'm leaving today
I want to be a part of it, New York, New York
These vagabond shoes
Are longing to stray
And make a brand new start of it
New York, New York
I want to wake up in the city that never sleeps
To find I'm king of the hill, top of the heap
These little town blues
Are melting away
I'll make a brand new start of it
In old New York
If I can make it there
I'll make it anywhere

That was awesome. We come back in the 9th, Melky hits a walk off, our bullpen didn't give up a run, and Ponson was pretty good aside from the first inning. Good night all around!

Antoher great win, sure it was helped by a bad call but those things even out over the course of a season. ponson was ok in his debut and melky comes through again. he's been amazing, it's amazing how bad he looked last year to how good he has looked this year.

You have to give the Yankees credit, every time they get a bad call going their way they always seem take advantage of it.

Give em credit for what? I have seen approx 4 yanks games this year. I have seen approx 4 serious bad calls go their way. Sorry, I never give a team credit for having bad calls go their way.:shakeno:

We have had a ton go against us and contribute to costing us games, it happens and again it usually evens out over the course of a season.

Everyone has calls that are wrong and it gose there way and sometimes it dont...it all evens out... Red Sox's got calls that went there way, so dose every other team
