Serious question to Yankee fans. Believe it or not I'm a BIG John Sterling fan. I think he's extremely entertaining and one of the best radio guys out there.

Anyway my question is: What will his Bobby Abreu home run call be?

2 obvious ones are taken(An A-Bomb from Abreu and Bobby goes Boom:lol: ) , maybe a "bop from Bob" or a "Bobby Blast"? We'll just have to tune in to find out:D

I think it means that Matsui and Sheff aren't as close to returning as everyone thinks

Cashman is saying today that Matsui in early Sep. Sheff in mid-Sep.

When reports a few weeks ago had Matsui in Mid-August and Sheff by Sep 1st.

Good call

I said the same things to a Yankee friend of mine, you actually was the one that asked me the question (then I brought it there).

I'm sure Sterling is hard at work working on Abreu's and now Wilson's call.

I hate to think of what he might come up with :shakeno:

I can understand why some people can't stand him because he's so over the top with his calls, especially non-Yankee fans because he's a pure homer. But I love him, he's pure entertainment and never is a dull moment with him.

Abreu and Lidle will be in uniform tonight, per Yankees.com

No word on Wilson.

Forget about Abreu tonight, let's hope Wright can give the Yankees 6 strong innings. OK, I'm kidding myself, let's hope 5 strong innings!

Yea. Wright always seems to fall down after the 5th inning. I hope Abreu has a great debut

What no love for Bernie? He came through big time tonight. Tonight was a good win simply because we won a pitching match-up Toronto had the edge on. We got Wang tomorrow and he's been on fire lately so hopefully he keeps it up tomorrow because if he does, he'll have a shot at the CY Young IMO!

Back in first place by percentage points. I love it!

More importantly a game up in the L column.

Congrats to bernie for tying Don Mattingly for 2n all-time on the yankee list for doubles. he'll never catch Gehrig but he has surpassed Babe and Dimaggio.
