magic number still went up 1 spot!

I know you guys are looking for a bright side to last night's loss (basically Boston losing) but last night was a horrible loss not only because of the way we lost but because the rook deserved the win last night and Jaret Wright blew it (I know Villone gave up the tying and winning hits but Jaret Wright blew last night's game)!

It's funny how the Yanks sweep the series againts the Red Sox (at Fenway) then go to the sorry Mariners and lost the ****ing game, pathetic :shakeno:.

Good solid win tonight from beginning to end. Wang won his 15th and made his 2nd solid start not only in a row but 2nd solid start on the road (he struggled his 2 starts before the last 2 and has struggled on the road all year). Cano is on fire and so is Johnny Damon so the offense is really taking a lot of pressure off of the pitchers. Dotel and Myers pitched solid innings and Wang would have had pitched 7 innings of shutout if it wasn't for a bad call. Hopefully the Yankees can take tomorrow's game and head into Anaheim riding the high they've been on. I really want to see them do well in Anaheim because they have owned us in recent years (even though we split with them recently) and I think it's important to take 2 out of 3 (or hopefully sweep before we see Detroit)!

HMM.. i hope there is some semblance of yankees playing on sat and sunday in anaheim cuz I'm off to LAX, to see my boys play... Hopefully i will get there early on sat for BP and take some pictures. I'll post em if i can...

great win tonight.

Magic number drops by 1 more game!

well the players are tired. I mean if the MLB could ever give them the day of like they did to the Red Sox before the Yankees series everyone would be more fresh for the games. I'm pretty sure that's why A-Rod was out last night's game. They have a 4 game series against the Angels, then have to go to boston (ain't far but still), then right after the Sox series they have to fly up to Seattle with no break. It is absurd. But, nice game by the Yankees last night. Good victory. Too bad Moose is on the 15 DL list

Yes the MLB didn't give the Yankees a day off just to try to screw them. :shakeno:

The MLB doesn't even do the schdule, another firm does.

I bet you weren't complaining last year when the Red Sox had 0 days off in September. The reason why the Yankees have so many games in so many days is due to rain outs. Blame mother nature. Plus why are you even bringing this up when obviously the extra days rest the Red Sox got didn't help.
