Yeah he did. He can't be had anymore. He could have been had at the deadline but now he'll be an Astro for the near future. I don't know what the Astros wanted for him but if I was the Red Sox I would have parted ways with Hansen (or Delcarman) and Lester for him. I'm curious to know what the Astros wanted for him!
 
Another strong outing for Wang, 7.2 innings and only 3 hits.

Also, Coco Crisp might go the way of Renteria and be a 1 and done. They calimed all offseason that he was better than Damon. Then in a 5 game series he goes 1-18. While Damon was running around the bases like it was a sandlot game knocking in 40 runs and scoring 40 runs it seems like!!!!!!

I could see Tori Hunter or Vernon Wells in Boston and Crisp goooooooooooooone!!!

Sox can forget about Wells, unless they want him for a one year deal. He's going to be traded (told Toronto he would not resign after 07), but he also said that he'd try and sign with either Houston or Texas when he's a FA (he's from Texas, and wants to play on the same team as his buddy Michael Young)

The deal was Coco Crisp and Craig Hansen for the Braves for Andruw Jones. Then the Sox were going to send Jones to Houston for Oswalt. Houston pulled out of the deal because they had cold feet, so the Red Sox tried to just do the Jones deal with the Braves but as soon as Altanta heard the Houston deal was dead they asked for Lester in the deal too which killed that deal.
 
We'd be undefeated in games against det if mariano was available for the last game in Det and last night's game. proctor blew another one but at least we aren't in a race anymore.

Last night was a heartbreaker, it truly was. Obviously something is wrong with Farnsworth or else he would have been out there. He had 2 days off prior to last night so it isn't as if he didn't pitch because he was going back to back, so obviously his back acted up or something (which isn't a good sign). I love Proctor but last night he pissed me off. He's gotta get that last out and not walk guys in those situations. It's just like they say, you don't realize how lucky you are to have Mo until Farnsworth and Proctor blow games against the team with the best record in the AL!
 
its funny. If we end up playing Chicago in Rd 1 of hte playoffs.

And its Oakalnd vs Detroit in the other bracket. Then you can make a case that the Rd 1 NY vs Chicago will be the ALCS. Cause I can't see Detroit or Oakland beating either NY or Chicago in a 7 game series.

And if Minnesota gets in (with no Lirano) then I really can't see any team in the AL beating NY in a series 5 games or 7 (unless LAA comes back to win the West)
 
Johnson's on fire today and A-Rod has snapped out of his funk. Hopefully this team can get 6 more outs and take 2 out 3 from Detroit. Man I hope Detroit falls into the Wild-Card. I would love to see them in the ALDS!
 
close call in the 9th there, Torre tried to give the unit the CG and he gave up a 2 run homer. Mo is having shoulder discomfort, but after giving up a double to ordonez, he shut down for the remaining three outs. Good win, it was a little scary in the 9th tho. Good to see unit with the passion he had tonight and i hope Mo feels ok for the rest of the season, BTW go Arod! 3-4

Who would have thought 2 months ago that the AL Central would be the closest division race in the AL?

Thanx for providing me with these things.. I have counted us out long ago, but all we have to do is go 26-2.. Calling WEEI to get the rest of Sox Nation behind me.. We have a double A guy going tonight and the bat boy coming out of the pen for Timlin..
