To get Detroit in Rd 1 we need to finish wtih the 1st or 3rd best record. And Detroit must finish 1st or 3rd.

We gotta get Oakland locked into that #2 spot.

if Det wins the WC and the yanks get homefield it doesn't matter what Oak's record is we'll play Det. If det gets homefield then we'd need to finish behind Oak to play Det.

There's a good chance that Detroit will drop down to the Wild-Card and we'll have the best record in baseball and will see them in the ALDS. That's my hope. I don't mind seeing Detroit or Minnesota in the first round. The only team that would worry me is Chicago and that's only because their line-up is capable of wearing down a pitching staff like the Yankees is!

I gotta be honest, come October (except for Chicago) no team in the AL scares me. And the ONLY reason they scare me even a little, is because they have the ability to beat us 15-13 and the ability to out-slug us.

Minny and Detroit have nothing. Oakland never shows up in a big spot, they will roll over and play dead come October like always.

Laughing at injuries... that's Yankee class right there!

Funny how in June when Matsui and Sheffield went down the only thing going around Yankee land was crying and making up excuses if they didn't make the playoffs.

I wouldn't be laughing at injuries because karma could be a funny thing....

Actually I wasn't laughing at their injuries, I was simply stating the fact that without them you guys officially toast!

Yeah, right.

You're a real class act.

You've been real sensative lately man, what's the matter, Red Sox got you down?

This has nothing to do with sensativity.

Who the hell laughs at injuries? Especially a young kid like Papelbon, who could have done some serious damage to his shoulder.

Karma is a *****...

I don't where you got out of my post that I was laughing about their injury's. All that was stated is that with Schilling and Papelbum out, you guys are done, finished. I mean you ladies were finished before but with them out, the Red Sox might as well start making vacation plans!

1) I didn't see anyone laughing at Red Sox injuries. I think you are taking it the wrong way.

2) How many Red Sox fans have laughed at Pavano and all of his injuries over the past 2 years??? NUFF SAID.

Let's just drop it. This is stupid
