I get so frustrated sometime when watching the Pats. True enough, they have the best QB in the business. He is the Michael Jordan of the sport. However, you have to be kidding me that once again, they are seeing incredible amount of luck.

1. It is possible between now and the end of the Super Bowl, they will face the following QB's: Tim Tebow, Joe Flacco and Alex Smith
2. The Giants, who match up with them well, are going out to SF this week. What is the big deal? Only about five days of rain and howling winds projected on Sunday. It sets up nicely for a 49ers win.
3. The Pats have a historically terrible pass defense....yet Drew Brees and Aaron Rogers are bounced this past weekend.
4. The Steelers, who again, match up well with the Pats, lose to a terrible QB and the Broncos.
5. Ed Reed tweaks his ankle at the end of the game last week and could be hobbled vs. the Pats

It frustrates me so much as a Fins fan...we seemingly catch a break once every ten years, the Pats get about 5 in single weekend.

Oh yeah...here is another one...IF Matt Schaub was healthy, the Texans would easily defeat the Pats...instead a 3rd string QB is leading Houston.

If Matt Schaub was healthy who knows if Houston makes the playoffs, remember Schaub has come up small late in years to help Houston miss postseason. Schaub is a #s guy until he can prove otherwise.

Did NE catch some breaks? sure but they made those breaks winning 13 games to put themselves in that position. I'm whining about the Giant luck yesterday(Hail Mary, dropped passes) but they made their breaks by outplaying GB.

Brady is no where near the Jordan of the NFL. He dinks and dunks to TE's all game long. Once he gets pressured he wilts. Jordan never wilted. The "QBs" Brady faces mean nothing. It's the Patriots defense, not Brady, who are killing these QB's you write about. Brady has 6 seconds to find a wide open TE/WR 5-8 yards from the LOS and passes it to them while they get 15-20 YAC. Brady is elite in today's NFL, he is not, IMO, elite when compared to the top 10 All-Time QB's. I mean, EVERYONE and their mothers are throwing for 4500+ yards with 30+ TD's. Brady is smart and hardworking, but he's not Jordan-like.

Brady is a top 5 all time QB and climbing, if he can get to and win a SB w/ this group? I think I might have him at #1(at the least #2).

No way. Again, he's smart and works hard, but he's not in the top 10 all time. With this group? lol... I agree that if he wins with the 15th ranked defense he'll move up in my books, but still not top 10. Hell, Eli (17th ranked defense), Peyton (23rd ranked defense) and Brees (20th ranked defense) won SB's with lesser teams than what the Pats have this year.

Rankings only tell you so much, did you know peyton's Ds have allowed less pts in postseason than Brady's supposedly great D's? Eli's 17th rankjed defense played like a #1 D in the '07 playoffs- that's why they won- same thing w/ Peyton in 2006. peyton threw 3 TDs and 7 INTs in that postseason run. Brees' D was ranked 7th in PA and 4 in YA- their D was excellent in 2009 including sealing the SB w/ an INT for a TD.

Brady has had average at best offensive talent for 80% of his career and his D's have been known to choke in January only to be rescued by Brady. Brady is w/o a doubt a top 5 all time QB and w/o a doubt the best QB of his generation.

The Pats were so lucky to lose their best defensive player (Andre Carter) to a season ending injury, have all of their starting LBs to be injured at one point during the regular season, lose two of their top CB's to IR and have their best safety miss half the season. Having to be without their starting center and RT all year was great too.

WOW...the adversity they have faced...like not playing a team over .500 since Halloween. Give it a rest.

But I thought you needed a great qb to make the playoffs and win? So why are the Pats facing such **** qb's?

Because you need a good team to win, its not just about the qb....

They didn't beat a single winning team the whole year. Dallas, NY Jets, Denver, Philly, San Diego, and Oakland all finished 8-8. Everyone else was worse

They beat the Jets when they were 5-3 and had won 3 straight; the Cowboys were 2-2 when the played the Patriots and were 7-4 at one point. Same with the Raiders They beat the Chargers who started off hot and are while their record didn't show it, are one of the more talented teams in the NFL. They also beat the Broncos when they were 8-5 and one of the hottest teams in the league at the time and then in the playoffs when they were 9-8.

If NE had gone unbeaten in the regular season they would have beaten one team with a winning record. It's not the patriots' fault that the teams they played couldn't keep it together down the stretch.

It doesn't matter who NE beat in the reg season, if they beat Baltimore thye are playing for another SB title.

None of those teams had above .500 records at the end of the year. I'm not blaming the Patriots for their opponents faltering down the stretch, I just stated a fact that helped one of the guy's points.

NE can beat anyone in the league, you don't need me to tell you that. Don't act all offended when the team you root for has won 200 games in the last 4 years.

Besides, if a team has a good record at the middle of the season or even towards the end and loses a few games after, doesn't that show they weren't as good as their record might have indicated before?
