The real issue with Tannenhill

And its a big one. I've rewatched all three games and Tannehill struggles with this a ton every game; vision. He's not seeing the field. He has open receivers but seems to not see them at all and force the ball at covered receivers direction. And he REALLY needs to use his legs more. He doesn't scramble when needed. The vision issue is leading to sacks and end of drives. You would think that these things wouldn't be an issue in his 3rd year. I think he is feeling the pressure of "this team will go as far as I take them." .... Or this is just who he is.

I agree with you. I have seen every game he's played and when he first got here he was very raw but instinctive. He didn't hesitate to take off and run for a first down. Now his head is getting in his way, and all the disparate coaching advice he's gotten has made him tentative and afraid to make a mistake. He just needs to relax and lay it all out on the field. He has the skills and enough talent around him, he just needs to stop overthinking and just play.

This is a very well thought out and cogent post.

I said it a week ago I will say it again. You need a bigger sample size given the new scheme. I said 4 games were needed at the time now I'm leaning toward 6 games. The QB is not why we lost that kc game. We had momentum the drive before half time. Tannehill was hitting guys perfectly. He throws a perfect pass to Gibson who drops the ball and we are forced to kick a FG. That happened all game. And then the defense got run all over
