The REAL reason for the backlash to presscoverage!

lol....ain't that the truth....I work 3rd shift and generally stay offline at home (except to just check email or play Halo) so I got in to work....started checking the board and saw all hell break loose over this.....lol I guess b/c (like previously said) it's the first "potential" long-term injury of the offseason. Nothing to go in a frenzy over though (I think that's more from people puttin up PressCoverage on the chopping block).

Every time you come on here you are gonna bust down the doors with your chest poked out and your chin high in the air, and hold this whole thing over everyone's head, aren't you.

I probably would too.

i've got this funny feeling when we hear from our new friend, it's gonna be some "breaking news"....

i got called a troll on this site when i posted an opinion - not even a claim of some news - when i had less than 50 posts and was a very new member.

honest, i love this site. there are a lot of people who do deliver breaking news, there are even more who give excellent analysis of the team's moves both on and off the field, and there are loads of people who just seem to share a love of the dolphins.

unfortunately, there is also an extremely high number of people who think its fun to give all this "troll" and "pwned" rubbish, and act like they're a 6'8" kung fu champion who's gonna squash anyone who disagrees with him.

but hey, i guess on the internet we're ALL 6'8" kung fu champions.... :shakeno:

in all seriousness, as great as this site is, its also the most unfriendly messageboard community i've ever seen as regards new members. which is a damn shame.

The real reason presscoverage received such a hostile response other than what skeptics generally give is that many of us see the season from hell creeping into this year. The so called curse of last year. And the messenger of the initial bad news of the year was likely to get shot. Be honest guys. How many of you are thinking about what happened last year and saying "not again". I have to admit I have.

Yeah, I can' believe that damn Rick Speilman traded away our best corner and left us thin at the position. he should have known there would be injuries. he needs to be FIRED now!!! :fire:

I didn't see the initial post until after I read the papers, but to be honest, I would have questioned his sources just like we all do...would I have been rude...well, not really in my nature...but I would have questioned it...especially with a new poster...ususally stuff like that gets started by lurking Jests, Jills or Patsies wanting to get a rise...
