The Truth about Sports Writers!

We all get worked up about there mornoic sports writers and commentators wheather they be from ESPN or the Sporting News or where freakin ever! Just remember one thing and never forget this. These Idiots are all LOCAL writers from somewere. And they ALL have a local bias from where ever they are from. Take ESPN for example. Do you think that it is an accident that they are always pimping the Buffalo Bills or the Jets? I know the Pats too but they have the rings to proove they can kick some As@! But these guys all love their teams where ever they are from and if the writer is a jets fan he is always going to punk the Dolphins and pimp the Jets. ALWAYS! Were are most of your Networks and papers published????? Thats right. New Freakin' York! All North Eastern Seaboard. So when you get all ripped about the crap these guys write or talk about just remember they are all fans of their own teams and no matter what the "Code of Ethics" in writing may say they all are bent and they do suck! :fire: :fire:

Pimping the Jets?

The Jets get the worst press of any team while your dolphins until last year, when you deserved the bad press you got, were getting great press year after year and despite enevr coming close to a SB you were always a trendy pick for the SB.

ESPN has a Bills and Jets bias? All the "papers" are published in New York? All reporters are biased toward their hometown teams?

Well were I live, 1/2 hour from Giant stadium, most the press is about Yank's first then mets now, and in Football season, Giants first and Jets second.

But being in the heart of this area, who should they write about?

The problem I have with this is when you are a NATIONAL reporter, you know one of the big dogs ESPN, CBSsportline (we all know who is there), FoxSports, whatever. You need to remove most of your bias. I know it is impossible to remove all bias, but if you got the big promotion to be a national reporter you need to be professional enough to remove most bias. I mean that is their JOB! If you are a local reporter, it is almost expected that you pull for the local team. I still believe that if you are a reporter or even a tv commentator, you should remove most of your bias. As hard as it may be, but that is their JOB!

Well said, but it's still hard, even having that information, to not get upset. People don't want to hear anyone outside of the "Family" talking bad about their team. It's natural, even if deep down we believe it or know it be be true. it's hard to hear someone else say it..
