The ULTRA-POSITIVE spin

Generally speaking, most sports fans (especially those that are "die hard" enough to go out of their way to post on a fan-forum website) are optomistic about their team.
I feel the opposite. Most die-hards are too hard on their teams at times. Expect too much out of them because they follow them so closley.

Ask any scout in football and they will tell you, and i've heard them say it, that Chris Leak is NO WHERE NEAR being an NFL quarterback right now.

Well, I say optimistic if they are coming off a terrible season (like us), and are hoping for a better performance. I will agree though, if coming off a spectacular season, die-hards can be pretty pessimistic. I know many Steeler fans and for them, nothing is good enough and many feel their team will probably go winless this year.

And Omar Freaking Jacobs Is???? He Plays For A Crap School..bowling Green. And He Throws That A Pansy He Wouldnt Last With Our Awful Line. He Would Be A Little Girl Like Feeley. Leak Is The Man And What We Need In Linehans Offense To Make The Big Plays. He Throws Perfect Deep Balls For Long Gains Regularly And Is Fearless Against Sec Defenses.

It really does suck that he isn't taller.

Hey Mike, looks like its going to be a lot of fun in your league this season ;)

damn

If we was gonna get some ones back up... i would of said bring in BILLY VOLEK... now Hes a great backup....

Going from a bad team to an average team is not the most difficult step a team makes when rebuilding, it's going from average to great. Something the team couldn't do in recent memory. The team hit rock bottom last offseason, and it had to get better, it would actually for them to have gotten any worse. As for the Qb thing, anybody but Omar Jacobs would make me happy. Matt Leinart has what experts like to call "it," he's just a winner, I would love to see him in a Phins uniform next offseason.

Look at things this way.......

Last year at this time we had no WR's, no RB's, no o-line, an old defense, no kick returner, a terrible coach and GM, and no depth anywhere.

As of today, we have a bunch of quality WR's, too many RB's, an o-line that is improving, a young innovative coach, a defense that we added some youth too (Crowder, Roth, Daniels, Wright, Vickerson..etc), a great kick returner among other positives.

If we had a quarterback today, we would be talking playoffs. No doubt. But, on the other hand.....in a year we have made huge strides in rebuilding this team. And if we can now just add that final piece of a QB......we are set. We are almost there.

Just don't go get a quarterback who's last name starts with the letter "F" and we will be fine!

We are almost there........really we are! I'm not saying tank the season or anything, but another year of picking near the top of the draft would do wonders for us for years to come. And if we do only win 4, 5, or 6 games this year....then we are in prime position to have another good offseason. (not rooting for us to only win those number of games, just saying IF we only win about that number of games)

This team is far from "almost there"!

QB - We're the biggest joke in the league at this position!

DT - Old, injury prone and average! That about sums it up. Does anyone really believe that we're going to be able to stop McGahee, Dillon and Martin?

OL - Why are we wasting Hudson Houck's time? At-least half of the bums on this joke of a line wont even be on the roster next season!

Secondary - Daniels has potential but Madison, Schulters and Jones are average at best!

The best part is that next season Taylor, Thomas, Madison and Seau will all be another year older...

Its gonna take Saban 2-3 seasons to get this team to the playoffs!
