The Urlacher blitz on Feeley

Jesus, Urlacker was on top of Feeley fast as hell. No way feeley was going to get rid of the ball other than throw an INT. He took the hit. Better than panicking and creating a turnover...

If anything the play is a plus for feeley...

All I can say is when Feeley gets BLITZED... he looks like a deer caught in the headlights.

He didn't catch anybody off guard Chambers was covered. Well, Chambers had a half step on his DB. The sad this is that had the throw been on the money it would have been for 6. The ball was severely underthrown. Those that say it was thrown that way on purpose rewatch the tape as I just did.

Chambers was covered with another DB trailing behind there was no help on top, meaning a good throw might go the distance.

Gus didn't fake anyone out either. He made no move, no head fake nothing. He put his arm up ready to throw and the LB'ER flew by him.

I think the fact that he just stood there is why the LB'ER flew rigt by him. If I am going full speed I expect the guy tomake a move to.

Gus did not see him. On this play if you rewatch he clearly locked onto Chambers. He stared him down the whole time and from the snap u knew it was a bomb to Chambers. In the end the play went the Phins way.

The ball was underthrown, yes. But had he LED Chambers, it woul dhave been picked off. There were two DBs PAST Chambers. A deeper pass would have probably been intercepted. Chambers by no means had his man beat.

Urlachers was a delayed blitz so I doubt the error affected him & Brown was never blocked so even with the error I doubt it really mattered.
they talked about this on NFL network. the bears blitz. it was timed very well. you can tell they have ben working on his throughout camp.

and on that play, after the sack, Urlacher looked mad, and hit the ground. it looked like he wanted to strip the ball but missed. he wanted a TD. :D

By the way, Urlacher should have been pentalized for throwing his forearm into Feeley's head.

Bingo. That's the question I've been expecting ever since the play happened. He tried to decapitate Feely. No penalty, no review by the league, not even a comment here at Finheaven (until now). While I'm at it, was anybody as discouraged as I was about the fact that the Bears blitzed so much. If I'm Saban, I'm taking Lovie off my Christmas card list. Did he want to win this game that bad? It's an organized, structured PRACTICE. I am surprised Saban shook Lovie's hand after the game. I think I would have had some words for him. JMHO.

There was nothing wrong with what the Bears did Monday night. Blitzing is a big part of the game now and with the way the game went Monday, maybe the O-line will see that they have to pick it up a bit more now.
We blitzed our share of the time, not as much as the Bears, but we sent a full package at them from time to time.

thanks for posting that. it's easier than a tape, anyway. it looks to me on the replay like feeley was actually trying to go through his progression as far as turning his head and looking for receivers. he happened to look to the middle just as urlacher was about to nail him. he may have been just looking at urlacher, but there was a wr crossing left to right on that play and it looks like feeley turned his head right and then was turning to the middle. i guess we're all going to see what we want. i am not rooting for anybody to start over anybody else, btw. i want to see the team move the ball consistently this year, and i don't care how it's done.

yeah, i'd love to go into the season with frerotte, rosenfels, and berlin... j/k
Geez....Add feeley to that list and it still doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy....take him away, and it looks like our QB situation is downright pitiful.

scary stuff man... :(

Hey, like or hate Feeley, he's still a dolphin. If anyone here was rooting for an injury to Feeley (I'm sure there are some but my Dolfan Homerness won't allow me to believe so) then maybe they need to start rooting for another team/sport/whatever. I'm quite sure Saban knows far more about the quarterback competition than even the most hardcorp Dolfan. The best qb will win the job, and if it's Feeley, great. If it's Gus, great. As long as it helps us get better as a team, great.
